So I'm using a local internet service and they probably think they're helping me by redirecting me to the local versions of the common websites that support my language: google, yahoo, etc...
Thing is, it's annoying as hell. Even though it's fixable, I just want it to not happen at all.
So how do I bypass this rule? I'm using firefox 3.5.3 by the way.
Thank you.
EDIT: Also, I'm unsure whether or not my cookies or whatever are turned off, but my browser's ability to "remember" is almost non-existent.

Examples:
- Log-in remember-mes or stay-logged-ins do not work
- Saved preferences for google searches are not remembered
- Skip-this-ad-next-times do not work either
