You cannot investigate the source of CP without having some ties to it on your computer. Also, if your ex-girlfriend hacks you and puts it somewhere, that's probably possible to determine.

still wont shake the stigma of pedophile from you. theres always going to be people that will see that someone was arrested for holding CP, and not that they were innocent and were framed, etc.

The cases described in that article (connecting to 50 sites a second? lolwut?) can be very easily discovered by either looking at the servers' logs or opening wireshark or a similar program. A total of 5 minutes of work.

3.not notice it added itself to startup
4.not notice it downloaded CP to your computer

The radio station I listen to for my morning drive to work was talking about this case this morning. I had to laugh thinking about poor Joe Blow who just got his first computer and clicking on a virus infested e-mail and the resulting headlines in the morning.
