Permanent Auto HP/MP... Two Years Ago.

Well, Nexon surprised us all with this permanent CS items thing. Knowing them, they'll change up which permanent equips are available each month or something like that, and I think that's great. It got me thinking though, about whether or not they have intentionally done this in the past.



This screenshot is about five minutes old. That Auto HP pouch, however, has been sitting in that equipment window ever since December of 2007. It was gotten during the Christmas sales event; the one where the on-sale items in the CS changed every hour or so. I don't know why it won't expire, but I know that I'm not the only one out there with CS equips like these. Currently, I know of two other people that have a non-expiring Auto HP pouch, one of which has a non-expiring Auto MP pouch to match. Were there any other CS items other than the Auto HP/MP pouches that never expired?

What I'd like to know the most is whether or not this was intentional. Would there be anything in the data during Christmas '07 that would give any info on this?

If the time limit on the item is 0 days, then it comes out permanent, but I think Nexon just screwed up last year's white christmas sale with that.

The WZ would show the lack of an expiration but that wouldn't tell us anything about intent.

The WZs show a lot of things throughout the years that they didn't mean to do.

Maple Champion was kinda an event, they gave out a bunch of codes on the site and you'd put them in the cash shop code redemption. My NL still has the green one.

That was when they released ITCG, you had to go through the online tutorial, and a code would be given. You would insert that code from your cash shop to get that item.

I got mine during the Christmas sales in '08. Couldn't have gotten from anything earlier than that since Demethos came out in November 2008.

Pretty sure it was '08. I quit around Christmas of '07 and don't remember any sale like this. I vaguely remember some sort of "check at x hour for a limited supply of x item on sale for ridiculous prices in the CS", but I think I'd have known about the HP pouch if it was available while I was playing. I mean, I could be wrong, but I haven't read anything about the permanent HP pouch until I got back to the game.

I remember this was a glitch too. They tried fixing it the next server check and took away my auto hp and mp instead of making it temporary so I guess they just decided to just leave it in as permanent.
