I think the movie will suck. Just as the other ones from this director, like Independance Day, and The Day After Tomorrow.

I liked them both. I'm a sucker for the-world-is-ending movies.

I won't be seeing it. I can't stand the idiocy and gullibility that comes into buying into all of these "end-of-the-world" movies and theories.

I like John Cussak, but this movie is just going to suck.

Seems like it has a high death toll and large amounts of destruction.
That's enough reason to see it for me Biggrin

i like how the movie involves a lot of fact to make ppl believe such as
"anyone professionals who start to know the truth will be killed"
"earth magnetic field shifted rapidly because of heated core"
"parts of the world shifted in various directions that in the end will be pangea, the 1-continent-earth billions years ago, all over again"
it's nice to see lots of true facts to convince ppl in a phony movie Biggrin

Watching it for fun is ok IMO, I'm going to watch it anyways since i did like independence day (<3 will smith as an actor) and the day after tomorrow (biased toward ecologism but hey, i have ecologic thinking anyways and i kind agree with it, the idea not the movie).

Yet i have this feeling that it will be the war of the worlds all over again, that means, instead of focusing on the movie, you'll have to deal with a crappy father and his rebel kids, add obnoxious yelling and screaming while hell breaks loose.

Not sure as to why everyone always have sticks shoved up their asses. It was a decent movie, I don't regret spending $7.50 on it. I mean come on, at least the graphics were amazing and it was nice to watch the whole world fall apart.

This. So if you're looking for a movie with a plot, go somewhere else.

I'll see it, but I don't believe in 2012. That 1% of doubt I had was just erased now that they said the date was 2208 and not 2012. Rolleyes

I personally did not think that the movie 2012 was good. The movie is very predictable, there are a lot of people escaping, many coincidences and a lot of explosions. The movie is non stop scene after scene of thousands of people losing their lives. Some other movies that you could go see are The Men Who Stare at Goats, The Fourth Kind, or The Antichrist, all of which I think are better than 2012.
