when nexon released the patch they mentioned that balrog is 50-120 for normal and 50-70 for the easy mode.
but mu young mentions its 50+!
i cant enter because im laggy and the place is full of groups beating it..
and i could see 120+ ppl there
so can we confirm balrog is 50-200?

Is it really 50+?! o______O If so I think I'd leap with joy. If not then back to killing random quest things.

I thought you couldn't do it since the quests related to it are incomplete?

^Nah just talk to Manji, and you're there.

Finally beat it on Normal after like ~5 tries, mostly due to lack of damage (we only had 6 people + randoms most of the time), and one time, it healed like 50% of its hp lol. Trick is to keep one person down at the bottom (only before DR) and one person at the right for quick breaking of tombstones as well as the timing of DR in the last 3rd of the fight. It casts zombify at like 10% hp left, with the exact same animation as DR, so it gets a bit confusing.

A few questions that have been bothering me, do you actually have to do quests or can you just go in by talking to the NPC, and if you have to do quests, do you have to do Manji's Ragged Gladius too? Also, how much damage does it deal?

Anyways, my Lv. 120+ friends will be delighted when they hear Normal mode is just 50+. I also heard that you can use all your skills, but that your damage is just greatly reduced, but I guess I'll go and find that out myself.

All you have to do is talk to Manji to warp there, and you'll be in the waiting room just like zakum/horntail. No prequest requirement.

By the way important point for people able to defeat rog: in the exit room, make sure you break the orb in the center of the room, that's where the drops come out of. The first time we defeated balrog, we walked right past =/ (you get 1 balrog leather for going through the exit portal.

Rog was effing hard man. I didn't kill it yet mostly because I went with random squads and I everyone thought they were safe because it only did 400 damage then would get tagged for 2.5k damage.

I have a question or so myself.

1. How many forms are there, or that body is it?
2. Nothing above 20 minutes being damaged counts? Including the arms.
3. When killing the Rog after 20 minutes do you only need to attack the head or the arm(s) too?

Did Nexon fix the 1-hit-dead magic attack already? That attack even killed a DK with 20k with full HP in 1 shot... and no, it was not damage reflection...

It happens around when there is 8 minutes or less remaining and balrog is near dead...

Kind of shietty... 100% hit attacks... -.-

P.S. This was in normal mode...

I saw Mu Young say 50+, but I wasn't sure. This is awesome. Maybe I can convince my friends to come now. >_>

1. There are three "phases," if you will. The first one always lasts 10 minutes, and it's just to check if you can do enough damage to stand a chance. If you don't do a certain amount of damage before 20:00 left, Mu Young will "save" you and kick you out. The second one starts summoning and doing that tombstone thing, and both hands become active. The third one starts at 50% of rog's hp left, and that's when both hands get sealed, and it starts using damage reflect.

2. None of the damage you do after that certain threshold counts. Rog starts at full hp at 20:00 regardless.

3. It never matters whether or not you attack the head or the hands. The hp bar includes every part. It's preferred to attack the head though, because 1/1s and the 2.5k-ish damages only hit the bottom, and after 20:00, jr. rogs with lots of hp (relative) start appearing down there. Just make sure you have 1-2 people on the bottom/right to hit the tombstones when they appear. You can only attack the head in the 3rd phase though.

"Supposedly", and don't quote me on this, people say that if you do nothing (no attacking) for a certain amount of time, you automatically die. Not necessarily attacking the Rog itself, but just using an attack skill (maybe its any skill?) anywhere in the map (can be directed away from the Rog, heal also counts as an attack)

I'm not sure, it might just be another "LOL I DIE I BLAME IT ON SOMETHING NAO?!??!"
