So does that skill still Stun? Or does Fiel need to update the Aran skills thread?

So for those who are active in the KMS community, do you guys have any direct experiences regarding how Aran are treated and how other classes view them (in terms of boss runs and such). Just wondering if it's either been to soon to really know, or they've been acknowledged to be anywhere near broken.

No one is high enough leveled to really know, nor do our Korean friends.

(Although, I am speaking for everyone without asking anyone, so I very well could be wrong.)

What he said. In addition, it hurts your hands. It really is hard to hit your attack key that often. Low HP for a melee class THAT MOVES INTO THE BOSS. Have to pay attention while you play (grinding gets old even faster than a normal character since I am not just hitting one key while my pet pots). High equip costs. Quests for nearly all your skills before 70. Those are just some that I can think of, atm.

If you have to single button press so often, wouldn't it be smart to invest in a controller? I can't see control over a character being a huge problem considering most of what you're doing is normal attack spamming. Even if you really do use a lot of keys you can learn to double map all of them and that should create plenty of room.

I think its like a cycle. GMS got good stuff and was few patches of MSEA in 2008. This year onwards however, MSEA was few patches ahead with great stuff. Perhaps next year it will be GMS's turn again?

I'll say it again: the only reason MSEA got a huge-as-pomegranate content dump was because of their getting hacked out the ass.

Does JMS even have Aran? No, because they don't get hacked. Everyone else has to wait more, unlike SEA.

While I do agree that adventurers are very underpowered, and need an EPIC buffing to them, that pap video didn't really convine me. It still took the person 9 minutes to solo pap, and she still got hit a considerable amount of times. Buccaneers can god mode this boss without having to knock it back, and if they have enough barrage they can do quite fine damage.


And the power slash formula to the Arans attack is VERY lame, my god I'd rather just be able to hit 6 monsters instead of aggroing 20 towards me with 500's in my damage. You need a high combo to do anything serious, and seeing as how most bosses have a stun on you, you're never going to get that. The answer? Smart knockback. Actually gives you a chance to build your combo up, and do something rather than press CTRL 3 times. Although I didn't see that Arans level, if it was 127, or anything below 130, I would agree that was overpowered. But if that Aran was 130+, that doesn't really make me think they're overpowered. However, saying Arans aren't imbalanced is a bit off to....they clearly have much more advantages than any other class, and I wouldn't really mind to see smart knockback get nerfed anyway, Aran does basically overpower every class. The only disadvantage they have is the MASSIVE pot burn you have to use once drain becomes absoloute(if it ever does, I wouldn't know), and their CB wannabe hp.



I think that

Arans without any combo= Fine as is
Smart back= I wouldn't mind nerfing it, but for that matter I want genesis nerfed
Arans at 100+ combo= Nerfs are acceptable here, because they are much more powerfull in this state
Critical= Sure, nerf it. It's not fair that they can get criticals when pirates have to stun just to get them

But keep everything else the same. There's such things as nerfing, and then overnerfing and killing the class completely.

The Aran thread is based upon Korean translations by Google Translator which are never as good as the translations directly from Nexon America. You gotta admit - Nexon America has damn good translators for the American audience. The Aran thread can be quickly updated upon Aran's official release in America.
