Changing standards

Not for everyone. It depends what class your first character is...and whether you have a second pc.Rolleyes

Heh...

Standard changes don't mean squat. None of my characters have zhelms, most have 100%'ed equipment and I'm generally pretty weak. That said, it doesn't change my enjoyment of the game. Even though I'm weaker, I find enjoyment in doing things most people can't/won't do through skill, like soloing a bigfoot before 4th.

My Dawn Warrior (lvl50) isn't any more fun than my page (lvl60). If anything, he's more boring because everything is so easy on him in comparison due to Blessing; it's like playing on Easy mode (and let's face it... Regular is pretty easy to start with Redface)... So no, rising standards don't mean much to me at all.

Actually I find its always easier to make it to a certain level the second time around, regardless of what class I am. For instance, I remade my crossbowman a grand total of 6 times, and each time I got to a higher level than the previous one, and I found it easier to get to said level.

That's somewhat related to more skill and knowledge, but mostly it's because of new areas and PQs, better exp options, better gear etc.

Yeah, for example my first character was a Paladin... so my second one (Hermit) took about 4 months to catch up to what took the Paladin 3 years. At one point they were both level 124, around the same exp. I just got bored...

New content makes a big difference, and knowing about MS gear helps too. I probably spent a lot more time figuring out what for the Page/WK to equip.
