MapleStory is actually really cheap to play

Inspired by how much eos spent:

Assuming that pets that loot and pot for MP or HP (no class needs both) are "essential" to play maple and that MTS is just too hard that is under $10 per 3 months to maple- post buying your pet.
With the active char only having stuff and such it still holds that $10 per 3 months.

So while we can spend MORE. To be a completely average and playable char. (that is a looting pet with MP or HP pot) $3.33 per month should do (and that leaves you with 400 nx each time- save up go big for that 1 gachapon ticket.

And plenty of P2P games offer MORE if you pay more.
Some in different ways than others (WoW expansions methinks)

FYI: I have spent far more than this amount on maple.
However I am currently without a steady income so I have not spent any cash on maple.
But its nice to know that for about $15 I can get my pet equips and some hat for my char and have 3 months of fun.

I've never cared about spending money on NX enough to either not buy it or absolutely need it.

And if you're a training whore you almost NEED to buy 2x cards (4 hour or daily) just to keep up with guildmates/juniors/friends/etc. And thats like 20-30$ a month?

It doesn't require a lot of cash unless you want to compete with other people. You just can't keep up, unless you are pretty much just lucky, unless you invest a lot in this game.

Never spent a single penny on this game. Mts was my friend, until nexon screwed it over with high ass tax rates.

Oh, it can be as cheap as you want it to be. NX itself isn't strictly necessary, so to speak. You don't have to have autopot or 2x just to boot up the game and walk around. And nothing dictates that you have to do more than that.

But I assert that it's not "playable" no matter how much or little you spend. ^_^

I have never spent a single penny on this game and I probably never will. Prices in the FM are absolutely astronomical, to the point where I generally don't even consider buying stuff; you just half to be self-sufficient.

It's funny when I see stuff for sale at a price of 40x more than the most meso I've ever had... and the stuff isn't even that great, by today's standards.

I spend 10$ every 3 months on a shop, pet with loots, and a single gach ticket. I do spend more in between, but I could easily get by with just the 10.
