Stifling Laughter
#1
I have no ability to do this. I never have, and it's frustrating. My voice also cracks and I become almost completely incapable of speaking when stressed/upset (to the point that it takes all my willpower to even mumble something). Any ideas what may be causing this, or how to get around it?

My own thoughts on the 2nd part are that I tend to bottle things too much, and it's a defensive reaction to keep things bottled inside.

Well, it really depends why you're trying to stifle your laughter.

That's both creepy and uncalled for.

Bite your tongue/lip, Brandon.

I'm looking at something funny or have a funny thought. I am completely incapable of suppressing the laughter for longer than a few seconds.

Good. You aren't laughing at someone. One time someone said the same exact question, but he was trying to stifle his laughter in front of someone.

Yeah, biting your tongue would be your best bet.

I don't really laugh all that much.

My sense of humor got skewed when I was a young boy.
