Alright children, calm down. I don't want to have to change your diapers again.

[COLOR="Green"]I do believe that the authoratative figures of this community should remove everything not containing or consisting solely of sophistocated dictation. All at once it has appeared that the masses have ruined our splendid picnic with their ant-like ways. I for one would love to continue this wonderfully insightful conversation without the pleas of the peons being able to be heard through the window of my dormer.

The purpose of this letter will outline the plans to leave the kid gloves and vent some real anger in the [B] DarthMars [/ B]. However, before I begin my statement that I should know what [B] DarthMars' [/ B] conceited virulent form of the special s included as a movement, and as a system, we must look at its historical background and development as a dull the form of politics in the early twentieth century Europe in response to rapid social upheaval, and destruction of World War I, the Bolshevik Revolution first. DarthMars between me and the biggest difference is that [B] DarthMars [/ B] want to do general accusations and insinuations without the facts that support them. I, the other hand, you want to have good moral upbringing and self-esteem children. [B] DarthMars [/ B] all the smoke in his book of the same bile, making only minor changes to fit the problem at hand. The problem he 's excited about this week is cynical, to say that I am fanatical work. Therefore, [B] DarthMars [/ B] is why close it? I mean, not to my purpose here, exemplified honor, duty, loyalty and courage of principle. Well, well, it is. But I should point out [B] DarthMars [/ B] has never satisfactorily proved his assertion that his views represent the majority or even the complex point of view. He merely argued with the phrase, "of that proposition; as I said." I assume that I have to in this letter that the whole story. If you need to explain or further particularity of all my point was so happy to equip additional details because it may require lol thats funny xD

Now, take this:
* Il Periodo Preclassico (1800 a.C.-250 d.C.)
* Il Periodo Classico (250 d.C.-987 d.C.)
* Il Periodo Postclassico (987 d.C.-1530 d.C.)
Nell'inferno finale c'erano fame, freddo e miseria.

If you're having a good day, I suggest you stop reading this post now, as it'll probably depress your mood. If you're still reading, be forewarned this will also probably scare you. I've started several posts like this, but I get to writing about why I feel this way, but there is no why to it. It's irrational, so trying to reason with why doesn't work. Then I get frustrated, as if I needed to feel worse. Instead, this time I'm just going to try to describe what it's like.
First of all, I'm sick. I've been sick for as long as I can remember. Some days it's worse than others, but it's always there. It's a very nondescript sickness. It doesn't hurt in a way you can sense. It won't make me sore or cough or vomit. But it's a sickness all the same. It's a lukewarm burn of evil that starts at the base of the sternum, in a pit, and rushes up into your bottom lip where it wants to be spit out, but it's not in your mouth; it's in your lip. It feels like miasma and sludge coursing through your body. It's like the scene in X-Men 2 when Stryker poisons Cerebro and the clear blue liquid is overcome with the black. It feels like you should want to throw up, but you won't. The best word, both in definition and onomatopoetically, is taint.
On the days it's bad, like today, the first thing you notice is that you're thinking through fog. It's strangely quiet, almost eery, in your mind and you only hear one thought at a time. But your thoughts don't quite feel right. You're not sure that they follow a straight course, and you can't necessarily remember what your last thought was. It also feels a whole lot slower.
Things don't normally go right on those days. They probably did, but you don't notice those things; only the bad things. It's not even the awful things, the things other people might feel schadenfreude over. It's the subtle doom, the small things that you had hope in. It's the private goals you set and failed almost immediately, and it's the frustration that comes with realizing you can't change. Since you can't think quickly, you get distracted easily, and you accomplish nothing. You cannot focus.
It evolves. Something someone said, something someone noticed that you didn't want them to, someone you respect said something, and you probably took it wrong, but that doesn't change the guilt. Guilt leads to shame, and I can think of no worse feeling. Having accomplished nothing, you feel even more guilt, and you start to worry. At the least it's, What do they think of me? Do they think I'm lazy? Today it was, Am I going to keep my job? Do I even want to keep it?
Then it gets worse. Your brain is cloudy, and your thoughts start to get darker, like black arrows shooting through the fog and leaving curling wisps in their wake. You try to steel yourself against the shame. I don't care. Sometimes it works, because it's something you're willing to not care about. I don't care what people think of how messy my apartment can get. Other times it doesn't, because if you don't care, you get fired, and then you do care.
About now you're feeling hopeless. There are no better days ahead, and you really couldn't care less. In fact, you welcome the idea. Feeling good hurts. The word happy makes your tongue's stomach curl, and your head feel like spit. You're not sad, though. There's not a whole lot to be sad about. You're sad when someone dies or when someone steals from you or when your friend does something hurtful. None of this happened today. You're not sad; you don't feel anything at all. What you do feel, though, you know you don't like, and you know there's no escape.
So now you want to escape. Nothing sounds so wonderful as nothingness, complete stillness, pitch black, silence, peace. You don't want to die, but living is not among your top choices. A third alternative, ceasing to exist, would be ideal, but it's not within your power, and it's not like God would grant that wish. You don't want to die, but the sentence I want to die repeats itself in your head over and over and over. Every third thought. Sometimes it's not I want to die but I don't want to live. It's hard because most people don't see the difference. Living is just so uncomfortable. Not like a poorly designed wooden chair. More like being chased by people who intend to torture you, and always being one step ahead of them, but never able to take a rest. It's like drowning without the pain and death.
I don't want to live. You start to fantasize about different ways you might suddenly die. You always aim for painless -- you're not trying to make a point, be a martyr -- you just want it to stop. You want release. You feel like your chest might burst, but there's no pressure. You just feel cooped up with something you want to expel. Expulsion is another perfect word, both in definition and onomatopoeia, for what you want. A sniper shot to the head. It might be gruesome, but you'd never know what hit you. It might be interesting to suddenly turn out of the line at the stoplight and run into that tree as fast as you can. It probably won't kill you, but maybe it would help somehow. It would probably at least change your circumstances. Too bad your car is probably not built to get over that median. Your typical methods of suicide -- overdose, slit wrists, carbon monoxide poisoning -- don't appeal to you. They're not quick enough. They don't have that snap that would trigger the release.
People have always told you that suicide is the most selfish thing you can do. So what? If you're to the point of wanting to commit suicide, you probably don't give a damn what they think. And no one ever trying to talk you down could ever really love you the way you want, the way they say they might if you get down off the ledge. It doesn't work that way. Anyway, living purely for the pleasure of other people feels like slavery. Them telling you to live because it'd be selfish to die sounds a lot like their selfish desire to stay happy themselves, now doesn't it?
Your thoughts jump around from fantasy to fantasy, car crash to bullet through the head to falling from a building. Sometimes it's not even dying. Amnesia is another way out. Amnesia is a new beginning and no one can blame you for it. They can't say you were selfish for forgetting your past. Sometimes you picture the frantic people after the car wreck. Sometimes you wonder how long it would take for someone to notice that you'd been shot through your window in your apartment. On a three day weekend it might take a few days. It's all meaningless, but it's what you think about. What if you suddenly found yourself in your daily scrum meeting and people you don't know are talking about something you've never heard of? What happens if you ask where you are? What are their expressions going to be? Are they going to be serious, or confused, or thinking you're joking? How would you answer that question in their position?
And then you want to be alone. When you're alone, you can brood without people's opinions of you changing. You can tell them you feel sick, and you'd be telling the truth. You hate how you're feeling, you hate life, but you don't want to get better. Getting better leads to disappointment later on. Just let it end now and be done with it. You feel sick. You want to vomit, but it's in your lip.
The only way to feel better (not well), if temporarily, is to sleep and wake up that way. That usually works.

I want to share with you a very deep concern I have about Queen Fiel. Let's get down to brass tacks: It would be great if all of us could counteract the subtle but pervasive social message that says that Fiel should force us to bow down low before what I call overweening megalomaniacs because "it's the right thing to do". In the end, however, money talks and you-know-what walks. Perhaps that truism also explains why Fiel's allegations defy common sense. I submit that everyone should stop and mull that assertion. Then, you'll understand why I know more about Trotskyism than most people. You might even say that I'm an expert on the subject. I can therefore state with confidence that if Fiel were to obfuscate the issue so that one can't see what ought to be utterly obvious to all, social upheaval and violence would follow. It is therefore clear that Fiel acts as if he were King of the World. This hauteur is astonishing, staggering, and mind-boggling.
I deeply believe that it's within our grasp to reveal the constant tension between centripetal and centrifugal forces of dialogized heteroglossia resulting from Fiel's scribblings. Be grateful for this first and last tidbit of comforting news. The rest of this letter will center around the way that if you think that free speech is wonderful as long as you're not bashing him and the militant doofuses in his camp, then think again. Of course, I'm generalizing a little here. But that's only because Fiel exhibits an air of superiority. You realize, of course, that that's really just a defense mechanism to cover up his obvious inferiority. Some people don't seem to mind that he likes to combine the most sordid avarice with the most invincible hatred of the very people who tolerate and enrich him. What a hideous world we live in!
Fiel's prognoses do not represent progress. They represent insanity masquerading as progress. Fiel should get off his pedestal and walk a day in our shoes. Let's be sure that I've made myself absolutely clear: Fiel alleges that representative government is an outmoded system that should be replaced by a system of overt priggism. Naturally, this is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. If you delve deeply into his cajoleries and thus, in tranquil clarity, submit to contemplation the theories of the worst classes of destructive euphuists there are, you will honestly discover why I, hardheaded cynic that I am, do not propose a supernatural solution to the problems we're having with him. Instead, I propose a practical, realistic, down-to-earth approach that requires only that I derail Fiel's patronizing little schemes. What I call antihumanist ogres serve as the priests in Fiel's cult of lascivious parasitism. These "priests" spend their days basking in Fiel's reflected glory, pausing only when Fiel instructs them to push all of us to the brink of insanity. What could be more lackluster? Well, if I knew that, I'd be in Stockholm picking up my prize and a sizable check.
My own position on this issue is both simple and clear: Fiel constantly evades or violates legislation of which he disapproves. At the risk of sounding a tad redundant, let me add that Fiel's circulars are a load of bunk. I use this delightfully pejorative term, "bunk"—an alternative from the same page of my criminal-slang lexicon would serve just as well—because the law is not just a moral stance. It is the consensus of society on our minimum standards of behavior. We should note, of course, that what I've written about Fiel doesn't prove anything in itself. It's only suggestive but it does make a good point that Fiel would have us believe that his faith in solecism gives him an uncanny ability to detect astral energy and cosmic vibrations. Such flummery can be quickly dissipated merely by skimming a few random pages from any book on the subject.
Fiel is trying to brainwash us. He wants us to believe that it's logorrheic to strike at the heart of his efforts to let delusional Luddites run rampant through the streets; that's boring; that's not cool. You know what I think of that, don't you? I think that Fiel's writings are just another signpost marking our long, steep cultural descent. That's not something that we learn in school—though it should be. That's not something that we emote about while watching movies and TV shows—though it should be. What it is is something that tells us loudly and clearly that I have frequently criticized Fiel's unspoken plan to condemn children to a life of drugs, gangs, drinking, rape, incest, verbal abuse, physical abuse, and a number of other horrors. He usually addresses my criticisms by accusing me of credentialism, militarism, child molestation, and halitosis. Fiel hopes that by delegitimizing me this way, no one will listen to me when I say that Fiel's modes of thought are designed to destabilize society. And they're working; they're having the desired effect.
Daily, the truth is being impressed upon us that Fiel's list of sins is long and each one deserves more space than I have here. Therefore, rather than describe each one individually, I'll summarize by stating that he ought to realize that the most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do. Unfortunately, Fiel tends to utter so much verbiage about collectivism that I can conclude only that I am now in a position to define what I mean when I say that this is nothing new. What I mean is that Fiel's most semi-intelligible tactic is to fabricate a phony war between lewd cult leaders and churlish louts. This way, he can subjugate both groups into helping him expand, augment, and intensify the size and intrusiveness of his absolutism movement. I undoubtedly don't want that to happen, which is why I'm telling you that it seems that no one else is telling you that Fiel's inclinations are a parody of original thought. So, since the burden lies with me to tell you that, I suppose I should say a few words on the subject. To begin with, the whole of Fiel's homophobic, subhuman worldview may perhaps be expressed in one simple word. That word is "fanaticism". Let me explain: From secret-handshake societies meeting at "the usual place" to back-door admissions committees, Fiel's companions have always found a way to extract obscene salaries and profits from corporations that mute the voice of anyone who dares to speak out against Fiel.
It may seem obvious, but Fiel will do everything in his power to break down traditional values. No wonder corruption is endemic to our society; I have a hard time trying to reason with people who remain calm when they see Fiel subordinate all spheres of society to an ideological vision of organic community. While he insists that my bitterness at him is merely the latent projection of libidinal energy stemming from self-induced anguish, reality dictates otherwise. Actually, if you want a real dose of reality, look at how Fiel wants to attack everyone else's beliefs. Faugh.
Someone just showed me a memo supposedly written by Fiel. The memo spells out his plans to lead an active disinformation campaign. If this memo is authentic, it tells us that Fiel's compeers like to say, "Fiel's ploys prevent smallpox." Such frothy eloquence neither convinces nor satisfies me. If someone wants me to believe something illiberal like that, that person will have to show me some concrete evidence. Meanwhile, I intend to show you that Fiel likes to quote all of the saccharine, sticky moralisms about "human rights" and the evils of pauperism. But as soon as we stop paying attention, he invariably instructs his thralls to transform our little community into a global crucible of terror and gore. Then, when someone notices, the pattern repeats from the beginning. Though this game may seem perverse beyond belief to any sane individual it makes perfect sense in light of Fiel's moonstruck, baleful views.
Whether or not Fiel should transform our whole society to suit his own infantile interests ought to be a simple question, far beyond the realm of debate. However, we mustn't let him extend his fifteen minutes of fame to fifteen months. That would be like letting the Mafia serve as a new national police force in Italy. The success of his slurs relies upon the average voter not knowing whether our nation has gone communist, socialist, fascist, or merely insane, which makes it obvious to me that he claims to be fighting for equality. What Fiel is really fighting for, however, is equality in degradation, by which I mean that Fiel is secretly planning to remake the world to suit his own self-deceiving needs. I realize that that may sound rather conspiratorial and far-fetched to most people, which is why you need to understand that Fiel had promised us liberty, equality, and fraternity. Instead, he gave us paternalism, conformism, and sensationalism. I suppose we should have seen that coming, especially since today, we might have let Fiel form the association in the public's mind between any epigrams he disagrees with and the ideas of hate and violence and illegality. Tomorrow, we won't. Instead, we will recognize and respect the opinions, practices, and behavior of others.
It's precisely because Fiel's rabid, heinous-to-the-core orations rightly deserve to be exposed to criticism that I believe I have found my calling. My calling is to explain a few facets of this confusing world around us. And just let him try and stop me. Many experts now believe that I despise everything about Fiel. I despise Fiel's attempts to silence anyone whom he considers backwards. I despise how he insists that merit is adequately measured by his methods and qualifications. Most of all, I despise his complete obliviousness to the fact that if he were paying attention—which it would seem he is not, as I've already gone over this—he'd see that in these days of political correctness and the changing of how history is taught in schools to fulfill a particular agenda, his traducements have caused widespread social alienation and from this alienation a thousand social pathologies have sprung. Okay, this letter has become much too long so I'll just jump right to the punchline: We have not only a right but also a responsibility to extirpate Stalinism root, trunk, and branch.
This is to voice my dissatisfaction with Queen Fiel's machinations. The rest of this letter is focused exclusively on Fiel, not because I harbor any ill-will towards him but because if he thinks that skin color means more than skill, and gender is more impressive than genius, then he's sadly mistaken. Many of the distinctions between censorious, ultra-raffish fomenters of revolution and Fiel's accomplices have dissolved. Only a true-blue noisome propagandist or one who is entirely clueless about corporatism could claim otherwise.
Many people are incredulous when I tell them that Fiel intends to crucify us on the cross of lexiphanicism. "How could Fiel be so hotheaded?", they ask me. "It doesn't seem possible." Well, it is doubtlessly possible, and now I'll explain exactly how Fiel plans to do it. But first, you need to realize that the central paradox of his deeds, the twist that makes his biases so irresistible to disloyal, coldhearted peddlers of snake-oil remedies, is that these people truly believe that Man's eternal search for Truth is a challenge to be avoided at all costs.
Judging by the generally materialistic nature of Fiel's sympathizers, I can see that it's astounding that Fiel has somehow found a way to work the words "parasympathomimetic" and "phototelegraphically" into his rantings. However, you may find it even more astounding that he doesn't want us to know about his plans to malign and traduce me. Otherwise, we might do something about that. He really struck a nerve with me when he said that the future of the entire world rests in his hands. That lie is a painful reminder that if I want to react violently, that should be my prerogative. I definitely don't need Fiel forcing me to. If you think about it you'll see that his impulsive fulminations are merely a distraction. They're just something to generate more op-ed pieces, more news conferences for media talking heads, and more punditry from people like me. Meanwhile, Fiel's lapdogs are continuing their quiet work of advancing Fiel's real goal, which is to devalue me as a person.
I think that we should let Fiel prattle on about how the best way to make a point is with foaming-at-the-mouth rhetoric and letters filled primarily with exclamation points. At this point, such exsufflicate jibber jabber is harmless enough, albeit a little unsettling. Nevertheless, it does demonstrate how Fiel's older monographs were uppity enough. His latest ones are unmistakably beyond the pale. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Of course, if Fiel had learned anything from history, he'd know that he has lost sight of the lessons of history. I could write pages on the subject, but the following should suffice. Fiel's propaganda factories continuously spew forth messages like, "Fiel can convince criminals to fill out an application form before committing a crime" and, "Trees cause more pollution than automobiles do". What they don't tell you, though, is that Fiel operates on the basis of an unremitting hatred of civility and decency. So let Fiel call me ill-natured. I call him unrestrained.
Believe you me, Fiel wants us to feel sorry for the misguided vermin who destroy any resistance by channeling it into ineffective paths. I assert we should instead feel sorry for their victims, all of whom know full well that there are lots of weepy, wimpy flower children out there who are always whining that I'm being too harsh in my criticisms of Fiel. I wish such people would wake up and realize that I can say one thing about Fiel. He understands better than any of us that psychological impact is paramount—not facts, not anybody's principles, not right and wrong. I'm not suggesting that we behave likewise. I'm suggesting only that Fiel sees himself as a postmodern equivalent of Marx's proletariat, revolutionizing the world by wresting it from its oppressors (viz., those who bring him to justice).
Fiel is careless with data, makes all sorts of causal interpretations of things without any real justification, has a way of combining disparate ideas that don't seem to hang together, seems to show a sort of pride in his own biases, gets into all sorts of childish speculation, and then makes no effort to test out his speculations—and that's just the short list! As one commentator put it, I have a problem with his use of the phrase, "We all know that...". With this phrase, Fiel doesn't need to prove his claim that we should be grateful for the precious freedom to be robbed and kicked in the face by such a noble creature as him; he merely accepts it as fact. To put it another way, if he can overawe and befuddle a sufficient number of prominent individuals then it will become virtually impossible for anyone to defy the international enslavement of entire peoples.
My cause is to deal summarily with witless slaves to fashion. I call upon men and women from all walks of life to support my cause with their life-affirming eloquence and indomitable spirit of human decency and moral righteousness. Only then will the whole world realize that I am not fooled by Fiel's yawping and eristic rhetoric. I therefore gladly accept the responsibility of notifying others that thoughtful people are being forced to admit, after years of evading the truth, that I have been right. I was right when I said that Fiel chivvies predatory imbeciles to his side by convincing them that his projects are our final line of defense against tyrrany. I was right when I said that there are no easy solutions for dealing with lubricious, unsavory shirkers (with "easy" being defined as a solution that will not dismantle the guard rails that protect society from the incompetent elements in its midst). And I was right when I said that I want to discuss the programmatic foundations of Fiel's fastidious prognoses in detail. But first, let me pose an abstract question. What exactly is the principle that rationalizes Fiel's two-faced, crafty drug-induced ravings? In classic sophist fashion, I ask another question in reply: Does Fiel believe, deep in the adytum of his own mind, that his way of life is correct and everyone else's isn't? Perhaps the answer is best saved for another letter. Let me simply note that Fiel is known for walking into crowded rooms and telling everyone there that we can all live together happily without laws, like the members of some 1960s-style dope-smoking commune. Try, if you can, to concoct a statement better calculated to show how unregenerate Fiel is. You can't do it. Not only that, but just because he and his lieutenants don't like being labelled as "footling junkies" or "feebleminded malefactors" doesn't mean the shoe doesn't fit.
Fiel is on some sort of thesaurus-fueled rampage. Every sentence he writes is filled with needlessly long words like "sphygmomanometric" and "anthrohopobiological". Either Fiel is deliberately trying to confuse us or else he's secretly scheming to give me reason to lose my temper. During the first half of the 20th century, libertinism could have been practically identified with collectivism. Today, it is not so clear who can properly be called a hectoring, parasitic drug addict.
Far be it for me to respond to this letter with hyperbolic and uncorroborated accusations and assaults on free speech. Riddle me this: How can Fiel be so incoherent? Fortunately for us, the key to the answer is obvious: Some of my acquaintances express the view that Fiel favors conquest not only by violence but also by the peaceful and delicate methods of cheating, lying, and pimping. Others express the view that Fiel has a vested interest in making me recant all of the claims I've made in this letter. I am prepared to offer a cheer and a half for each view; together, they paint a sufficiently complete picture of Fiel to warrant a full three cheers. Looking at it on the bright side, knowledge is the key that unlocks the shackles of bondage. That's why it's important for you to know that Fiel has nothing but contempt for you, and you don't even know it. That's why I feel obligated to inform you that I indeed feel that he has insulted everyone with even the slightest moral commitment. Fiel obviously has none or he wouldn't feed us a fanciful load of horse manure as unassailable truth.
Fiel's perceptions are not an abstract problem. They have very concrete, immediate, and unpleasant consequences. For instance, Fiel has never been a big fan of freedom of speech. He supports pogroms on speech, thought, academic license, scientific perspective, journalistic integrity, and any other form of expression that gives people the freedom to state that Fiel is a backwards fence-sitter. I'm being super-extra nice when I say that. If I weren't so polite I instead would have stated that I am not concerned with rumors or hearsay about Fiel. I am interested only in ascertained facts attested by published documents and in these primarily as an illustration that to get even the simplest message into the consciousness of crotchety pinheads it has to be repeated at least fifty times. Now, I don't want to insult your intelligence by telling you the following fifty times, but it is pointless to fret about the damage already caused by Fiel's avaricious-to-the-core hariolations. The past cannot be changed. We must cope with the present if we hope to affect our future and foster mutual understanding. That's all I'm going to say in this letter because if I were to write everything I want to write, I'd be here all night.

Wild. Possession-obsessed. Venal. In case you can't tell, I'm making a direct reference to Mr. Tobias. Note that some of the facts I plan to use in this letter were provided to me by a highly educated person who managed to escape Tobias's grotty indoctrination and is consequently believable.
Tobias's utterances are an icon for the deterioration of the city, for its slow slide into crime, malaise, and filth. If Tobias doesn't like it here, then perhaps he should go elsewhere. If he bites me I will bite back.
There are two types of people in this world: decent, honest folks like you and me and hotheaded porn stars like Tobias. Should we blindly trust such nasty blusterers? In this land which has befriended insensitive, inerudite twerps, he has conspired, plotted, undermined, prostituted, and corrupted, andhiding to this hour behind the braver screen of petulant spivsdares to contrive and scheme the death of every principle that has protected him. I might add: His arguments don't even prove his point. Or, to express that sentiment without all of the emotionally charged lingo, I've managed to come up with a way in which his essays could be made useful. Tobias's essays could be used by the instructors of college courses as a final examination of sorts. Any student who can't find at least 20 errors of fact or fatuous statement automatically flunks. Extra credit goes to students who realize that Tobias fervently believes that arriving at a true state of comprehension is too difficult and/or time-consuming. This shows that he is not merely mistaken about one little fact among millions of facts but that if I want to walk around with a mountain of pain and suffering welled up inside me, that should be my prerogative. I undeniably don't need Tobias forcing me to. Mr. Tobias is notorious for trying to dupe people into believing that women are spare parts in the social repertoiremere optional extras. Period, finis, and Q.E.D.

I woke up this morning with a tune stuck in my head. It was just a few measures. I was trying to place it, while I lied there in bed, something about pleasures. Oooh look! I rhymed! Too bad it had nothing to do with pleasures. At first I thought it was a tune from Fable, but then I placed it at the climax of a movie. Now I can't remember which movie, so that bothers me a bit. I wanted to confirm the placement.
I've not slept well in a while, including last night. For the past many years, I've dreamt virtually every night. These past couple weeks, though, every night has brought bad dreams. They weren't scary, but they were always stressful, and I've woken up well before I've wanted to. The first three nights it was at 5am, then 6am. This morning I woke up at 7am, but I think that had more to do with the kids playing outside my window. They wake up around 7:30, I'm guessing, every weekday morning, and now that it's Saturday, their day off, it's a good idea to sleep in until 7. Yeah, that makes sense.
My cat just ruined my train of thought. Stupid bugger got on the table again, so I got up and he ran under my bed. I pulled him out and coldly soaked him with the squirt bottle. I wish they'd just learn not to get on the table. They've gotten better about it. They don't get up there innocently anymore. They know they're not supposed to. They seem to take turns being the good cat. Calloh has been good for about a week now, though they both still scratch up the inside of the couch. I wish we hadn't torn that lining off the bottom. I think that was done because a cat or ferret had started tearing at it.
This past week, and really well back into half of the week before, I got no work done. Between sickness (no more strawberry cream cheese), the day I couldn't motivate myself no matter how many games of Minesweeper I played, and being blocked the rest of the time, there was just nothing I could really do. There were things I thought I could do. I'm an expert now on upgrading the backend bits, but each time I've tried (and it takes a few hours if it works -- a wasted few hours if it doesn't, and you have to restart), I've found another bug relating to my task, and have to wait another three days for the fix to be made, approved, and tested. It certainly could be worse, as my peer mentor pointed out. In some projects it used to take a month for a bug in one area to be propagated to areas where the bug fix was needed. All of this to say I made progress yesterday -- significant progress. In fact, after this latest bug is fixed (hopefully Monday), approved (hopefully Monday afternoon, though likely Tuesday), tested (Tuesday night -- hopefully without causing a failure), and downloaded to my machine, I'm confident that, if my part won't work already, I will finish it by end-of-day (eod) Wednesday. Hopefully that makes up for 10 days of progresslessness. Yes, I know it's not a word, but look at how many esses there are in it!
Two weekends ago my church had a barbeque right after it. That was pretty fun. The community and fellowship there is great. One thing I'm starting to consider, though, is the worship. It's kind of selfish really, and Harper's former worship pastor had to deal with this issue a lot, but I'm not sure I like the style of worship. We don't play anything old. No hymns unless they've been remade (though even that is rare), no All In All, it seems like we learn a new song every week. Maybe it's just because I'm new that I don't know them, but I've seen people only mouthing the words, so I'm guessing they don't know them either. It's hard to get into worship if you don't really know the words you're singing. Also, though I'm sure it's just my old age catching up with me, I don't much care for the actual musical value of most songs produced today. There are certainly exceptions, but most of the song-value anymore is in lyrics, not in the music, and not in the poetic form. Suddenly worship is reduced to words on a page. What's weird is that wasn't my original impression of the church. Maybe I was just new and wanting to find a place quickly (which was the case), or maybe I've just been more critical these past couple weeks, or maybe the music just hasn't been my style these past couple weeks, and that's just how it was, temporary. Anyway, if it's not temporary, I'm deciding whether it's a big enough issue to change churches over. I feel so at home with the people, and while church is about the people, it's also about connecting with God on a deeper level than you can alone, in your daily life, and if that's not happening, then I'm not at the right church. Oh, but the barbeque was awesome. We played volleyball. I'm considering joining a rec league if I ever find the time. Maybe if things get patched up between my dad and me, he and I might join the same team.
This past weekend, Labor Day weekend, I had a vet appointment for the cats' rabies shots. Kotenok might be having a reaction to them, because there's a pretty big knot where I'm guessing the needle went in. That night, Ashley and her friend came over for dinner, and so I could meet her new kitten, Tomtom. It was hard to believe my cats were his size when I got them. He was the scrawniest little thing, with more fur than my cats put together.
I convinced them to watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, though they were skeptical. I always thought my sister's sense of humor and my own were pretty similar. I guess I was wrong. She laughed a couple times, but I was dying the first time I saw it.
On Monday, I went back to Port Orchard. I'd told my mom I was going, and she asked if I was serious about getting an iPhone, which I had been, but I was waiting for May to come around, so I could keep my phone number without it costing ridiculous amounts of money. She, however, has lost her phone, so on the way down, I bought my iPhone, and gave her my old KRZR.
The primary reason I was going to Port Orchard, though, was to see Eowyn, and her new apartment. After the grand tour, neither of us had much to do, and we were hungry, so we got food at a local grill. It honestly wasn't great, and it wasn't cheap either. I guess when I said "medium rare," they thought I meant half medium, and half rare. I paid. Then she suggested we watch a movie together. She's not seen Stranger than Fiction, so we went and rented that. She and I have always been a little relaxed about physical touch when sitting next to each other, from orchestra concerts, to movies it turns out, and so we were comfortably squished together on the couch, just shy of cuddling. About 75 minutes into the movie, she fell asleep on my shoulder. It's weird, but I'm not at all romantically attracted to her anymore; that's something I never expected to go away, and am now glad has. Even so, having a girl fall asleep on your shoulder watching a movie is a nice experience. It means she feels safe next to you, and that is a pleasant thought. Tuesday was the day I played so much minesweeper and couldn't be motivated. I suspect Monday night had something to do with it.
I've begun reading Lord of Chaos, book six in the series. I'm a little less than halfway through it, if the progress bar at the bottom of my screen can be trusted. It says about 700 pages in, but a page is about two thirds, maybe five sevenths, of a real paper page in the book. (For those who care where I am, Nynaeve just asked Birgitte to ready some horses and not talk to Uno about it. Rand was just bonded.) So far I'm enjoying it, even the female chapters. It's shaping up to be a good book, and while I've heard it's the pinnacle of the series, I hope my sources are wrong.
I started testing out Google Chrome. It's in beta, of course, so I can't expect it to do everything, but so far I'm not all that impressed. It does seem faster, but I don't really like the color scheme, or what it does to about half the webpages. The rendering is a little off. Also, they don't have it ported to Mac yet, which I don't really understand, but oh well.
Lolbot might be moving in with me in a couple months. He likes his job at Adobe for the most part -- he likes the people and the atmosphere -- but he's rather bored, so he sent me his resume, which I gave to one of the leads on my project. If all goes according to plan, we'll have more job openings in a month or two, and he'll be interviewed then. I'm pretty confident he'll be hired after he's interviewed. That kid is crazy good at programming and at working with others.
I was thinking in the shower today. That half hour each morning is probably the most productive time of the day. Anyway, I'm watching The West Wing again, and that always gets me thinking politically, and with politics comes religion, whether it should or not. (I tend to believe it should. If the basis of your government is freedom of religious beliefs, it's a little hard not to govern regarding those beliefs in order to keep those freedoms.) I started considering whether the world is getting better or worse, more specifically whether America and its society are. (And 'society' doesn't follow the grammar rule. Let's all welcome 'society' to the Weird League, along with our other new member, 'caffeine.') I think it's getting both. I think it feels like it's getting worse because our standards are going up, and rightfully so, and I think those standards will slowly have a positive impact on society. People are slowly starting to realize that killing is bad. Revenge is bad. Poverty and hunger are bad. Inequality and favoritism are bad. In the few cases where I think society is getting worse, it's attempting to masquerade as better, and I sincerely hope people start to realize what is wrong before there is so much more hurt in the world. I don't think the world needs more hurt.
Anyway, that's enough for now. As I told Alexander earlier today, I have a lot to do. I have to shower (already have), do laundry, and go grocery shopping. I'm a thinker though, and have realized that if I attempt to do all of these tasks in one day, I will have nothing for tomorrow. Always have to think ahead. Oh, also I'm angry about the deaths in Serenity.

You fail for not noticing that before. It was obvious that I got it from Wikipedia for the obvious tags in it. *sigh*
Now, take this, and tell me what is it about.
popoli del terzo mon*do e quelli islamici.
