Flavor packets for soda

They make them for water (Propel, etc). Is it really that hard to make a little tablet or something you can plop into a bottle of sprite to make it taste like Cherry Sprite? Or Cherry Coke? Or Cherry...Ginger Ale?

Basically, it'd be a bunch of flavor powder compressed into a tablet. Said tablet would dissolve into the drink to add ___ flavor, such as vanilla, cherry, etc.[/COLOR]

7-11 had liquid flavor shots and probably still does. Cherry, vanilla, etc.
I usually see the Torani brand of syrups set in flavors that go with coffee, but it seems they have a lot of fruit ones.

They sell some variety of Torani at the World Market near me, not sure where else.

But yeah, powders are interesting. Tried mixing a lemonade mix into Coke, and it was good, but flat after all the fizz finally went down.

They did this a few years ago with sprite, after sprite remix got taken off the market.

Vanilla coke is still around, I was referring to the Vanilla sprite they had in those packets, look a bit harder for it, its still out there.


What was good was the original sprite remix (tropical), but that got taken down, I wish I got a chance to try the cherry packet.

Not the same. I *love* Cherry 7-up and 7-up with grenadine (aka Kiddie Cocktail/Shirley Temple). But when it comes to Coke... I'd rather have a Coke and grenadine or regular Coke than have Cherry Coke. But Pepsi I'm fine with Wild Cherry Pepsi, Pepsi, or Pepsi with grenadine.

Fun Fact: Mountain Dew is caffeine-free in Canada.
