IE lagging

I'm having some lag issues with IE. My netbook is fairly new, I've had it for only a few months. IE used to start the second I opened it, but now it requires around 20~30 seconds to load. I've only installed and enabled one toolbar. Any suggestions?

Switching to Firefox/Safari is not an option for me.

Switch to Chrome, then.

Homepage? Extensions? Memory problems? Adware? I dunno, just throwing things out there.

Try running Spybot Search and destroy for speeding up some things.

Switch to a superior browser then.

You probably have malware or something.

Try removing the toolbar and see if that does anything.

Yeah, I removed the toolbar, but it didn't get any better.

Nah, I'm just too used to IE. Time for a change, I guess.
