If I didn't know the person, definitely no. Even if I knew them and disliked them, I don't find the money enough incentive to end their life.

I couldn't do it, because my mind runs wild so many times. I'd end up committing suicide if I went through with it, thinking over what happened repeatedly.
I'd only do it if there was a serious reason to, that couldn't be solved any other way.

If the 10 million grew with inflation, it'd be a very very hard deal to turn down.
If the 25 was for a stranger then I would. for a friend: Never.

No way. I already regret some things I did, and those were small things. If I did this, I would probably suicide later from guilt.

DEFINITELY not. I am not fit to end anyone's life.
Killing my friend? ...lol. I'd kill myself first. Seriously.

This thread reminds me of a story I once heard. I can't remember it exactly but I'll try to tell it as best I can.
Imagine a normal middle aged man, he's got a wife and kids they are living an average middle class life (We'll call him Steve). One day it turns out his boss is having a really bad day and the middle aged man ends up getting fired over something seemingly insignificant. He doesn't want his family to know he's fired so he leaves his house at the normal time every day looking for a new job to support their way of life. This goes on for a couple months but he just can't find a job. One evening he gets a call from the bank saying that he is late on payments and they are going to have to start reposessing his car and furniture and possibly his house if he can't pay them soon. He doesn't sleep that night. The next morning he wakes up to somebody banging on the door, so he goes down to see who it is. There's a man at the door with a large briefcase, and he starts to talk. "I'm aware of your financial troubles as of late and I come to you with a solution. I have in this case two million US dollars. I will give this money to you if you invest 100 thousand dollars and consent for me to murder one person." At first Steve is confused, but he thinks about it.. "Who do you want to kill?" "I can promise you you have no affiliation to this person, and you have never met them before." Says the man. So Steve agrees after some further convincing. The next morning on the news he hears that a man across town was found tied up in a basement, he was soaked in gasoline and lit on fire and burned to death. The briefcase is in Steve's back yard, so he goes and takes it. Sure enough the money is in it. Weeks go by. Another man having financial troubles, similar to the first, wakes up one morning to somebody banging on his door. The next day on the news, there is a story about a man named Steve who had had been found hanging from a bridge with a rope tied through his jaw, and the man has a briefcase in his backyard with 2.1 million US dollars in it. Sure it's a random person, but it's a human life. That person probably has a family just like you, and his own problems and memories. Don't take that away from anybody. I would not kill for money.

Yeah, I'm sure this has been said many times throughout this thread, but I don't think I'm in any position to end anyones life.
Even if I did go through with it I would always be extremely paranoid of being caught. |
