Medal Storage?

Okay, in one of Fiel's extraction threads, there was some new system to store your medals. And in that same thread, it looks like we'll be getting even more medals. Currently my Cygnus already has a whole load of medals it's taking up some useful space in the equipment inventory. Does anyone know how this new medal storage thing works? I wouldn't want to be throwing away my medals, even those that I have no use for.
