Equipment can help meet the stat requirements of each other?
#1
Sorry if this is extremely old news or something, having only had a lukless magician and an archer prior, I haven't had a character where all equipment requires a secondary stat, so this is news to me, I just want to confirm. On my striker, I had a 4 dex level 90 hat, 10 dex level 90 overall, 0 dex level 90 shoe, and a level 100 king cent. Without MW, I couldn't put any of that stuff on (I sold the zakum helmet I was wearing), but with MW, I could put it all on. But once MW expired, all of the equipment stayed on me, and my dex was still a total 100, which means without the hat and overall bonuses, I couldn't wear any of the 3 equipment or the knuckle. I tried taking off the hat, and once I did, I was stripped again and couldn't put the hat back on. So how exactly does this secondary stat thing work when all your equipment requires it and adds to it as well?

I'm not sure about your particular case...you should post an SS of the stats with and without MW on. I know people depend on their gear to get other pieces of their stuff on, though, and I guess once it's on it stays.

I believe the rule of thumb is thus:

An equipment cannot use it's own stats to meet it's stat requirement.

An equipment may use any and all other equipments besides itself to reach it's stat requirement.

If it can reach it's stat requirements that way, it in turn will help support the remaining equips, thus keeping them all equipped.

This is exactly true. Doing what you're doing takes a lot of thought to squeeze out every little point available. Most people though who are in the DPS game don't have to worry about this as overall and weapon are the only thing that are class-specific [I think]

Oh okay thanks. Doesn't really make all that much sense, but I see how it works now. I think I'm still just going to stick to a regular chain of dex requirements and bonuses instead of this, not liking the idea of getting completely stripped when I want to put something else on until I can find someone with MW xD

Both hat and overall have enough stats to equip each other, I guess... though it's difficult to put them on (neither can come first) I guess it could be useful.

More extreme would be a wearing 10 dex shoes + 20 overall, both below the weapon requirement, and with dex 30 below. This is more a thief thing though, cause the level 100 overall is the only option to wear and level 110 shoes have nicer stats.

Due to these new scrolls it might be possible to do 20 dex level 100 shoes though. I usually discount wearing equips based on each other since it's a pain to put them on. You'd need +20 dex that you can swap out after, I guess from glove+weapon. Swapping dex/luk capes would be another option (my Night Lord can, with MW, wear luk cape... but without the dex cape I can't equip anything and MW falls short)
