Maker Question regarding Black Crystals and Dark Neli Shoes

Say I'm making mage shoes that have the extra "Magic Attack" stat on them (like Dark Neli Shoes for example). If I use a Black Crystal during their creation, will the MA stat be affected by it?

If so, what about a Sapphire to 'guarantee' a Magic Attack increase? Are sapphires truly for weapons only? Would it even let me put it into maker? Or will it allow me to use it, but not affect the Shoes once made?

I'm looking for people who have tried this, ideally. Speculation won't help, as I don't want to waste crystals if I'm not 100% sure how this situation works.

It simply won't let you put Diamonds/Sapphires on a non-weapon item.

This. If you only have 2 slots, you're probably best off just using wisdom+luk crystals. The only reasons not to are that you either won't be using the luk or can't afford the crystals.

Honestly, just use a Mid Grade Wisdom, since it adds 3 INT. That's like having the BC work perfectly, and it costs about 20x less.

wisdom+dark is also better than black, since the dark crystals have bigger range, and can affect int+luk. Best outcome of mid wisdom + mid dark is +6 int +3 luk.. sure it won't happen every time, but how many mid grades are cheaper than a single high?

I guess I should have added that my ultimate goal is to create reverse shoes when I no longer need the high luk from my current Elemental Shoes. Meaning I'll want to allow for a potential maximum of int/ma using Wisdom & Dark & Black crystals. But I'll only use the black crystal if I'm guaranteed that it'll be affecting Magic Attack (otherwise I guess I'd be throwing a topaz on it). I'm really looking for a SS or a testimonial from someone that actually proves the Black Crystal portion of this.

The stimulator+range of above average could've done that, for all you know

Base is 1ma for Dark Neli. Range would be 0-2. Stim's would only ensure it won't go to 0.

Stim isn't going to make it 3. A stim will only make it 1 or 2, and not 0. 2 above average is the work of a gem. Hot shoes.
