Question about weapon stat requirements

I want to be able to wear a Casters at level 90, but I only have 118 dex while I need 130. I can get 10 more dex but I'll still be 2 short. Since the Casters ADDS 6 dex, I was wondering: does the dex boost from the Casters count towards its stat requirement?

For example, right now I'm using a Pendant of Spirit but I have a Deputy Star. Could I put on the Deputy Star (which will give me a total of 133 dex) and then put on the Casters, and then remove the Deputy Star while keeping my claw on? I'll still have 133 dex due to the Casters, but I'm not sure if the boost will count.

No, cause I tried it with my kage. It turns red. =O

Will not work. Dex on a claw is almost as dumb as bow, xbow, gun and claw scrolls adding accuracy.

If I remember correctly, my friend couldn't take off any of his equips because then he couldn't wear one of his other equips, which added dex, so he couldn't put it back on. So I think the dex will allow you to equip it.

No. Dex added by an equip wont let u wear the said equip if you don't have enough from base or other equips to start with. You can't use any other gear as some kind of bridge and then unequip it after equiping the item in question.

Example:
You are a newly hatched Hermit. You have no dex from other equips and have 105 Dex as base. Since you just hit lvl 70 you want to wear a scarab, and you find a green one that has 5 dex on it. You cannot equip it. Even if you had a temorary pair of noob pants with 5 dex and then exchanged them for your regular outfit without dex the scarab would go red on your equip list when you did the change.

extreme example of why people say you can equip items without ever actually meeting the requirements:

lets say you have 6 equips that add 6 dex each and all require 130 dex. your base dex is 100. you have a 7th equip that adds 30 dex, but is useless otherwise because you have a better equip to replace it (ie, 10 att or 30 luk). if you equip your 30 dex item and then your 6 6dex items and then replace the 30 dex item with the superior gear, each item will remain equipped because that item will see that you have the required 130 dex without it. and you will have a total 136 dex.

You used to be able to equip it and keep it on if it met its own requirement. When maple warrior came out, this was patched. Seeing as someone could use maple warrior for a lower lvl character to wear something out of their range.

I actually remember doing it sometime after Beta, but before these recent patches. There was some circling of equips letting other equips being worn. I did it with a Black Mamba in earlier levels. o_O
