I keep ending up with different numbers (don't ask me how) so I will state the following.
On my buccaneer I have 743 base STR, 20 base dex, 4 luk and 4 int. It is level 150. How many points do I have in HP atm?

149 level ups= 745 AP +5 from 3rd job adv

Assuming a 4 4 4 13 distribution. You placed 16 points into dex and 730 in str

that's a total of 746 from the 750 you are given. You have 4 extra points in HP

hmm, seems like it should be more, but i trust others math more then i trust my own so i'll take your word for it. When I level ill mp wash and see if I get it all out.

I'm pretty sure we've always gotten 5 AP from 3rd Job. At least, I remember getting AP. Assuming this is true:

For level 1~69 and pre-3rd 70, your total AP is

[Level - 1] x 5 + 25

For 3rd 70 to pre-4th 120, your total AP is

Level x 5 + 25

For 4th 120 and above, your total AP is

[Level + 1] x 5 + 25

Subtract 8 for the stats you wouldn't add into, subtract the base amount in your secondary stat, take the remaining and subtract the base amount in your primary stat, and for you, I get 9 points in HP

780 - 8 = 772
762 - 20 = 752
752 - 743 = 9

well, i took out 4 more points, but hit min mp i suppose (did the level * 18 +111 and ended up a good 10 under it) so i suppose i will check after leveling up next.

Matches the output from a spreadsheet of mine. (Or at least the relevant part. HP and reset calculations in it are for thief/archer only.)

I just do...

Pre 3rd = (Level + 4)
3rd job = (level + 5)
4th job = (level + 6)

then multiply by 5.
