Stonetooth or no Stonetooth?

I have a base Dex of 40, and was planning on getting it to 60 for a stonetooth. I need to know whether doing this would be a good idea.

I already have a 115 attack stonetooth from my main.

If I were to not go stonetooth, what end game weapon would I be using (Considering maker skill coming etc.)

Keep in mind my funding....

Equips:

15/15 20 acc Zhelm

Deputy Star (Will get MoN)

Will have 15 Dex Battle Road 7 Acc

Either a 10 Dex or 10-12 accuracy shoe (Depending on if i go ST or not)

7 Dex Earring (will sell if i dont go Stonetooth.)

10 Dex/10 Str Icarus Capes

10 Att 2 Str 4 Dex Warrior Glove

If i were to go stonetooth, without all the equips, I have 100m left over. (Keep in mind I already have the stonetooth) Also know that I convert mesos into NX to make things easier since resources and equips are limited in Mardia. (About 20k NX)

If I were to rearrange things, I would have 50k NX, remember that this is without any weapons.

I am going to be using an average Screamer at 80 (around 103-105 att)

Now, does the extra strength that I will gain make up for the speed loss from the stonetooth

Also, what weapon(s) would I be using past DS.

Details and NX conversions would be great :p

Too much number crunching -_-; It would be nice if you listed your total DEX and Accuracy in addition to displaying your equipment.

I think a Reverse Nibleheim (2h sword) would fit you well for an altnerative weapon. Doesn't take too long to get Pieces of Time; I found 46 myself with 1x drop since TT opened, and I've only spent a 4th of my playing hours at TT. Keep in mind it has to be higher than 127 watk +- 1 (depending on weapon STR) in order to beat the DPS of the Stonetooth Sword.

All things considered with scroll versatility, it's probably a lot easier to fulfill your accuracy requirements rather than pumping your base DEX and scrolling for STR. You're sorta in the murky range AFAIK on whether you're losing out on power or not, though I will say that if you go any higher with the base DEX, you will lose out on power. Unless of course, Nexon releases uber training areas where the monsters have 50+ avoid or something.

Well, with maker out now your options are much more varied. Getting DEX or ACC will be significantly easier now.

Funding is the only thing that differentiates what gear you want.

Maker + dark/black crystals + stims + vicious hammer + chaos scrolls + white scrolls + clean slate scrolls = [SIZE="5"]über godly items [/SIZE]

It used to be that scrolling for dex was limited due to scroll availability. But now you can put any stat you like on any item !!

Example: Let's say you've scrolled 9 ACC red snowshoes like mine :-)

That's 1x 30% and 6 60/70% shoe for dex scrolls.

Now with maker you can forge a blue crescent boot as follows: (just to illustrate how I can improve on my 9 ACC shoes that I thought were good)

base: 2 STR 4 DEX 1 ACC
add 1 ADV GARNET + 3 ACC
add 1 ADV DEX CRYSTAL + 5 DEX
add 1 ADV LUK CRYSTAL + 5 LUK

you now have 2 STR 9 DEX 5 LUK 4 ACC clean boots <--- 13.7 ACC

That's with no stimulator, no dark/black crystals, no chaos scrolls and no scrolling !!! Imagine the possibilities.

Let's say you're desperate for DEX rather than ACC since you want to wear that Stonetooth. Same scenario:
base: 2 STR 4 DEX 1 ACC
add 1 ADV STR CRYSTAL +5 STR
add 1 ADV DEX CRYSTAL + 5 DEX
add 1 ADV DRK CRYSTAL + 5 to - 5 on stats
add stim (insures the base item isn't below average)

possible outcomes are 12 STR 14 DEX 1 ACC - 0 STR 0 DEX 1 ACC

technically it's possible to chaos these 7 times after applying the hammer item and end up with 14 + (7 x 5) = 49 DEX shoes. More likely that you'll hit 2 x 30% and 4 70% and end up with 14 + (2 x 3) + (4 x 1) = 24 DEX

Extremely unlikely of course, but hopefully it illustrate that with maker the possibilities are awesome.

The choice is up to you, but if you're high enough to train at time temple, I'd suggest you farm for the pieces of time and make yourself a decent 2H reverse nimbleheim like Kaj suggested.

Fair enough, bad example. Replace the 100 shoes with 110 and you have the same concept. I haven't really played with my maker skills other than strenghten crystals and breakdown gear.

Regardless, the possibilities are still waaaaaaaay better than before maker. And the fact that we can add stats to items that were not possible is a huge boost for some classes. (e.g. +5 INT to shoes was never possible before)

Yes, I know. I just like to make that correction where I see it for people, as a lot of people don't quite understand some things about maker and I want to spare them disappointment or extra work.
