Hamachi

Enough said. I'm trying to play a hacked version of AoEII: Conquerors, version CD 1.0e via Hamachi VPN, and for some reason I was the only one who couldn't join their game and vice versa. Not knowing all the hopelessly complicated internet connectivity crap, we tried a lot of things.

--Reboot the computer and reset the router/modem. Now I can't even see their game.
--Tried to look up a fix for the problem. The Hamachi forums were not helpful.
--Followed instructions at http://logmeinwiki.com/wiki/Hamachi:Gaming_over_Hamachi. Port forwarding test failed, but it might be because I did the settings incorrectly.

AFAIK, internet connectivity is fine. I can chat with anyone on the VPN, they all can see a game I'm hosting (but cannot join). However, I can't successfully ping anyone without getting timed out, even though they can ping me.

Before, when playing using my friend's network, it works fine and we have fun trying to slaughter each other.

Anyone help?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Hamachi yet? That sometimes works and when you reinstall, you get to redo the settings. Also, make sure your color indicator on your hamachi isn't yellow or blue. Yellow is (low) connectivity issues and I forgot what blue was.
