It's a hack. Last time it was seen there was a huge hacking outbreak.

Hm, currently we have (unless it was fixed during the server maintenance last night) no way at all to report people in-game, probable infinite mesos hack, along with what I'm calling the "death hack." (Someone pulled this in the FM yesterday evening right next to my shop.) I can't quite think how this would be useful, unless somehow you could combine it with Power Guard to deal more damage back than you should be able to. It was certainly the most amusing death I've seen in a while.

Obviously packet editing is alive and well, and living in MapleStory.

I don't believe it was fixed, but we can report people still with the little red "police light" looking button on the bottom of your screen above cash shop. It does work if you fill out all sections, but only once a day. If it doesn't work once, try re-entering the map.

Ah. I did try it a few days ago and, well, I thought I had filled out all sections, but I still got "Please try again later." So we're back to only one report a day, eh? What a giant step backwards.

The only thing I like about the new interface is that it lets you select from names of people in the map, and you can enter a few words (though it's something like 20 characters, must be geared for Korean still) about why you're reporting them. This will be good if/when we find people hiding in areas normal players can't see.

That's easy to do and it disconnects you in seconds. It means nothing, there's nothing to worry about.

You can still USE every hack in MapleStory, for 5 seconds or so because you get pwnt.

I'm not worried, but keep in mind that this player was doing this for a good 1/2 hour in the Free Market without being disconnected, and as of this posting, iaremulek (the hacker) has yet to be banned (but I anticipate that would change soon).

I always knew hacks would come back, and I don't feel that this prank will affect the game.

But remember that the temporary GM's finished their positions on June 30, and it is no coincidence that someone would eventually pull a stunt like this as a way of testing the waters. We are now we're in virgin territory with the new "alert GM" function and the Leaf Brigade, and it would be sad to see GMS return back to status quo mentality.

Stay tuned...
