Taskbar crashing.

If I Alt-TAB Maple a few times, the taskbar will inevitably freeze, with certain icons in the quick-start menu as black boxes. This requires me to do a total restart of my computer, which gets annoying after a few times of doing it.

I have XP, if that helps.

Open up Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) and under the "Processes" tab, find "explorer.exe".

Click on that process, then go down to "End Process". Click okay on the confirmation, then your taskbar should disappear.

After that's done, go up to "File" then to "New Task (Run...)". Type in "explorer.exe" and it'll restart the process, bringing your taskbar back to life.

I wouldn't. Could be any number of things, but the icons turning black is a problem commonly associated with Hackshield. I get that periodically too, but my taskbar doesn't freeze.
