Some questions on threaten
#1
I have some skills about the Page's skill threaten. I heard some rumors about it and wanted to see if I could confirm them.
One rumor was that it is % based so the monster loses 20% watt and wdef when hit with max threaten.
Another rumor was that it stacks with itself.
If neither of these are true, why does threaten only remove 20 watt and wdef? (Which is minuscule compared to how much higher level monsters can get up to). Why did they make this skill, which is supposedly the trademark of the Page, such a bad one? It pales in comparison in terms of usefulness to Hyper Body and even Rage even though the NLC warrior elixer brought down it's usefulness.

It's 20 base, not percent, and it does not stack with itself.

probably because when they created the skill, the highest level monster relatively low (jr. rog maybe?) and 20 base def and att made a difference. they should've changed it to % when they made it work on bosses on the skill updates, then I bet people would love to bring paladins to bosses.

I don't see how since rage is 12 attack now instead of 10.

As you can see, Rage has pretty much the same effect as Dragon Knight's Dragon Blood the only differences are that Rage reduces Defense (Which is negated by Priest's Bless), and Dragon Blood takes away your 20 HP for every 4 seconds.

i agree but seeing as how nexon is willing to change rage for warriors when NLC came out and threaten hasn't been changed. Just shows nexon doesn't care about the page class , either they just don't care or its the fact that people hate pages so much that nexon decide that the community is to small and pointless that they don't see a point in helping them .

Threaten is the smallest problem in the page/WK/Paladin class. They are in dire need of deep adjustments.

I guess they're too lazy to address the Page class tree's problem but they are willing to change rage on a fighter. Maybe it's cause there aren't enough Pages/White Knights/Paladins raging at Nexon. Or maybe Nexon just doesn't care.

Uhhh, they actually did. Threaten was made to work on bosses and had its timer increase.

20 watt and wdef still isn't much though.

I thought the Rage change originated in KMS, which doesn't have NLC pots. So it wasn't in response to Warrior Elixirs at all.

The problem being 20 w.def is the difference in damage between your attacks to a snail and a dark stump. Eek

Generally, threaten is used to be able to survive body hits for bosses, not for increasing damage.

Formula for damage received is roughly equal to watk^2/125, right.

That would mean that a 1500 watk monster deals 18,000 damage to a player. Now, by using threaten, this is lowered down to 17,500.

I myself would agree that this is not really good enough, but if this buff was increased to 50 points instead of 20, then it'd be working like a charm.

It's unlikely that GMS will make a change unless KMS makes a change, which I don't think they will.

I found Threaten to be VERY useful when killing Black Crow. This is just a very specific example, but I found that I could use a single Ginger Ale to recover the damage instead of having to spam them or use powers.
