Minor questions about HP Washing for DKs/DrKs

Just have a few questions:

1) Roughly how much AP should I need to wash out in order to get 12.5K HP base by level 12x or 13x.

2) With 61 INT, about how many AP can I wash out (per level?).

At level 12X or 13X I think you should have around 8.5k to 9.0k base HP. Let's say you get 50 HP for every point you put into your HP (you may get more, you may get less. but let's go with 50) that means 250 HP per level which means you need about 15 levels worth of AP (75 AP).

Warriors get 2-4 MP per level, plus the 6 extra MP from the Int equips you'll be getting 8-10 which means 2 to 2.5 AP since it takes 4 MP out.

At level 12X or 13X I think you should have around 8.5k to 9.0k base HP.

as a sader i had about 9k hp at 140. and i have a 117 dk with 7.6k hp. a dk's base in 12x-13x will be more like 8-8.5k, but thats only about 1 more lvl of washing than you calculated.

HP gain via AP is 56 +- 2, assuming things have not changed.

Also, since you haven't made your 2nd job advancement yet (+100-150 MP) the number I gave you can change a LOT depending on your luck. You could possibly score up to 12.5 washes worth of MP from job advancement.

@ Meta: So based on your calculations, I have to do about 75 washes (AP points) to reach around the 12.5K base HP mark by 120-130? Not half-bad, just have to bust out the extra 75K NX cash to cover on top of the 50 washes I had planned to do....

I missed out on the benefit of a Zhelm and the knowledge we have currently until 105ish (TY AL!), so I have fairly limited potential with HP washing. Right now I have appx 11500 at 146 base, with about 30 points washed (possibly more put in HP, I need to figure out if I hit the MP floor or not).

That's actually not bad, to be honest (for 30 washes). Jw, do you have level 20 or maxed Berzerk?

One minor add-on: Can anyone give me the max. HP % threshold for Berzerk at level 1, 10, and 20? (The 4th job skilltables were not updated for the new Berzerk, so just want to ask around)

Berserk gets 1% HP per skill point IIRC (starting at 21% with new updates. Lucky buggers, I started with the original 11%). Mine is lv 30, and, with 18,500 HP or so, I end up with 9250 as my Berserk range. Quite useful, as I can tank Crow and remain Zerk'd, though I'd still die from a Hime hit afterwards. My goal is 20k HB'd by 152.

Of course it is, just don't touch his body. I'd recommend Pap though, as you only have to worry about your own attacks and his animations, and it's easy to see what's going on, and won't have interference, lag, or other issues that typically arise at Zakum.

Unless you want to berserk all the time, you don't really need that much HP at Zakum. The max he hits is about 3050 with his falling flame blocks, and they have an easy animation to spot. It's pretty easy to see his 2 specific damage attacks (lightning and the flame pillars) coming, which do about 2700 and 3000. But if there are mobs around it gets laggy and I wouldn't want to rely on that.


And if you wait until you have level 5 Berserk (eg. level 122), you can have 4000 berserking HP with just about 16000 HP. That would let you use cheese after 1/1s and Ice Cream Pops after his other attacks (plus Unagis if you end up in the 2000-3000 range).

Sometimes the flaming pillars cannot be avoided. I'd say be prepared to tank any attack Zakum throws at you.

Ikr? With only about 30-40 points or so, I'm at 18500 with HB. That's 9250 zerking range. Which is more than enough for any boss that's reasonable to zerk.
