Items that boosts Maker?

JMS got this quest in the patch two days ago that gives a pendant. As soon as I recieved the pendant from the quest and equipped it, it gave me an extra option in the Maker Skill to forge scrolls for Spikes on Shoes and Cold Resistance.


To me, it seems kind of useless and it just takes up inventory space, but what could they be planning with this? Expansions to the Maker skill via equips? O_o I'm not entirely sure what the pendant does, but so far, all I've discovered is that it gives an extra option in the Maker Skill.

PS: The pendant is the last item in my inventory, if you haven't guessed. lol

It's called Gordon's Magic kote (whatever kote is).

I like the idea of learning new recipies through quests, that seems neat.

But limiting them to equips isnt the way to do it.

Hopefully we could maybe learn new maker recipies for CWK items and such over here when we get it, but thats just being hopeful..

Awesome equip in my opinion. What do you need to get the scroll? I want to make my future 11+ dex boots have spikes.

XD lol IMO its' kinda useless, but whatever.

the gordon magic iron allow you to make 2 scroll...cold protection for cape and spike for shoe...other than tat, i think thr so other uses...

btw, when this maker skill is out, all the cold protection and spike scroll will become untradeable...some trader at MSEA whu stockpilling this scroll having a major loss when this happen...

I was thinking about this the other day. It really opens a lot of doors as far as custom maker recipes go.

For example, imagine finishing a chain of quests for Fiona. Now you get a special item that will allow you to forge Raven weapons. Or better still, an item from John Barricade that would allow you to forge formerly ITCG-exclusive equips.

This kind of thing could happen a lot in Masteria or Neo Tokyo. It'd be really awesome to utilize Maker like this.

The real question though would be dark scrolls -

Would you only be able to make light scrolls ( high medium low crystals making 10, 60 and 100% respectively) or would dark scrolls be a possible "failure" result? or even a result of using black/dark crystals adding a chance for the scroll "turning"

The latter would be more interesting, the higher the quality of the black/dark crystal the higher the % of yielding a dark scroll.

I don't agree with blank scrolls being gacha though - If they had to make money off it Nexon could make far more money making blank scrolls a straight up cash shop item. People would be more likely to directly buy them than to gamble for them.

Otherwise making them achievable in game somehow would be preferred.
You could go all out - You have to do one series of recipes just to make the blank scroll, then another set to use them.

Or make them come in bundles of 15. They do this with power elixers in NLC, so it can be done.

Its released in MapleSEA too. But those scrolls have been changed to untradable.
