Bemani games.
#1
So SP, do you like Bemani games? Either on any console, arcade or pc.

I consider myself an addict to these games. The ones I play the most are:

- Beatmania (any mix for the PSX).
- Pump it up PC, Arcade, or Stepmania instead (including DDR).
- DJ Max Portable PSP (any version) and Arcade (but actually I only got to play it once).
- Beats (PSP)
- DrumMania or Drum Freaks.
- Guitar hero II and III (I haven't played any other version).
- Many many emulators.

Are you any good at it? Which one is the one you like the most? Screenshots of good records and other goodies are welcome. Glitter

I used to play ITG/PIU. I'm decent on a pad, pretty good on a keyboard >_>

I've always wanted to try out Beatmania IIDX, though I don't know of any arcades around here with it.

I used to do Stepmania a whole lot, but I got bored after it became too much of HAY MEMORIZE DIS PATTERN AND IT GOES EVERYWHERE.

I play FFR and Stepmania (keyboard only, but I'm looking to get into pad). I guess I would say I'm moderately good. If you want numbers, you can check out my Stepmania Online stats.

I played DDR for quite a while, but I grew out of it after a while due to numerous real life circumstances. I still play every now and then, but only at arcades, which is fairly rare. I can do pretty much all 9-feet songs, but I just get really tired now.

I also played a little bit of FFR and Stepmania before.

I've also played a little bit of Drummania, but I suck at reading it...but I play real drums too. D:

GH isn't bemani. D:

GH IS bemani. Bemani stands for any game in which you have to press buttons or pads when ''notes'' pass thru a mark Goggleemoticon

I realllllllllllllllly like DDR on the pad in the arcade, I play heavy and ok at it.
I play stepmania to make me better and get into different music.
I really like beatmania, but I suck at it.
I have a computer emulator and have only played it once irl.

Well I play osu! a bit. It isn't a Bemani game but sort of the same genre.

I've touched a few of those games ... then again I prefer a snare to any of those sucky sensor drums they have ... stupid things can't read my rolls or singles and fails at swiss ruffs (and I suck at swiss ruffs). /rant

Throws' original video game addiction was DDR. Goggleemoticon

I'm pretty dang good at it too, though not good enough at PA or freestyle to participate in tourneys and such. I can pass most 9 foot songs on singles, and a handful of 9 footers on doubles. Yay doubles! Heart A lot of my friends that I still hang out with today are people I met at the arcade playing DDR a good what... 7-8 years ago? Huzzah for nerdiness.

Back when my local arcade was still worth going to, we used to session on DM and GF all the time. It was awesome possum.

Rock Band (though not Bemani) is my rhythm game of choice now. But DDR will always have a special place in my heart. Actually just tonight I had dinner with my DDR buddies and one of them pulled out a newspaper article from back in the day about the DDR craze (which featured a really goofy photo of him playing... aah good times.) OMG I FOUND THE ARTICLE ONLINE! link!

Yeah that's my buddy looking like a total goofball on the DDR machine. And so is the asian kid staring straight at the camera on the left. "Reese Chapman," who is quoted in the article, is my cousin. Man, those were some good times.

While I stand corrected... Music game just sounds too inappropiate to group them all.
