Population Growth Rate - gMS (Apr.‘09)

I’m sure with just a brief glance, you could take a reading from the data I took down myself. It’s a pretty solid screenshot of the ranking at that time for all the servers. It goes back to Oct ’07, a few months before 4th job was out. Sorry I wasn’t too consistent with taking down every single month that went by but it’s still something to look at right?

I’m not sure if it’ll be any use to anyone but it might be something for those who took courses in Differential Equations or some kind of Statistics. If you’ve done something like this or could even do a better job than I have, feel free to do so – I don’t mind, I actually kind of insist. It just takes me less than thirty minutes to record everything after one month and I’m fine with doing that but I felt like I had to share this with people who might have an interest in it *nudges at Eos*





If you want to place down any guesses for some amount of people at some time later, feel free to take a guess and see if you’ll come up right… like at end of this year or even next year? Just for fun? (That’s assuming the growth rate remains the same and Nexon doesn’t blow up their servers or get their database hacked or anything worse.)

If anyone has a comment about what happened around a so-and-so time, about a jump in population or decline, make a note of it ITT!

 My Guess

Last month, I made a guess that:

• over 350 Lvl 200's would be present in Feb.'10.
  
• over 50 Lvl 200's would be in Khaini by Dec.'09 - Jan. '10.
  

Hopefully one of these two would happen, lol.

I think I got this from an average of 2 levels of a month and something else.. I forget

Really a limited number of ways to use the data we're capable of collecting, but I prefer to express it like this:



This is the actual population growth by world for Centenarians.
It doesn't identify who has the highest number of them, but rather where they're growing most rapidly relative to previous month. Demethos for example gained 13% more 100+s than it had in January, in February.

The flaw in this is that it's comparing it's own world population month over month, so of course it's naturally biased towards smaller worlds where a change of a few hundred is much more significant than say Scania where a change of several thousands may be needed to accomplish the same thing.

Converting it a ratio makes it more identifiable though as to which world is experiencing that more significant growth. For those who are curious about raw volumes, here:
