They obviously shouldn't, because if they actually wanted a successful survey they would sample the entire MS community and not one hollow shell of the community's former self. The problem is that they care enough to not do that and probably end up getting shitty results out of time that could have been used elsewhere.

If you care so much then go ahead and do it. It is for everyone, not just sleepywood.
