Gentlemen, I need your help.

And if any girls have any tips, that works too.

I'm looking for a free FPS. It has to be realistic (like CoD or Combat Arms), but I have one pet peeve about most of the ones out there. The system of "renting" weapons. I'll use Combat Arms as an example. You buy weapons for one day, and they expire the next day. I hate that. I prefer the way S4 League does it, where you can buy them for a certain amount of hours, and that time only gets used up while you're in a game, not when you're AFK in the lobby or offline. Anyone know of any FPSes that fit the bill?

Oh boy do I know one. Back when my computer wasn't a colossal piece of shit, I'd play this little game called America's Army. It's got to be the most tactical, graphically inclined, free FPS that I've ever played. Two years ago or so, this game was what I devoted my evenings to.

Now, it's been quite a long time since I've played it, and when I looked at their homepage I saw this "America's Army 3" and I was like what the fuck, back in my day there was just AMERICA'S ARMY. But anyways, I'm assuming it still kicks ass, and it's definitely worth a download just to try it out.

Tell me how it goes.

Er, my computer isn't all that great, define what you mean by a colossal piece of pomegranate. `-`

I'm sure you'll be fine with it. My computer is an eight-year-old Dell with a 64 MB graphics card.

I'll give it a run tomorrow, then. No time left in today. xD

TF- bawwwww.

I heard America's Army was pretty good, then there's Battlefield and Day of Defeat. The latter two are pay though, so I guess i'd recommend AA.

Hmm, I tried America's Army, not my cup of tea. All the training and stuff is kind of fun, but I DC when I try to log into a room. xd Any other suggestions?

I've been playing Crossfire for about a month now. I rather like it.

@Greg: Thanks for that, I'm going to try that as well.

Since it's low right now, I'd suggest getting the Orange box since it's only $10 this weekend. If you literally have no money, then nevermind, but if you don't want to spend that much money this would be a good buy. It's 5 fantastic games for $10, and TF2 is a really fun online FPS.

There's also Battlefield Heroes, but it's in closed beta, need to get accepted before you can play. :<

Got any videos or anything for Battlefield Heroes?

GunZ the Duel, except it has a lot of ninja-like qualities that take away some of the realism. That, and people glitch the hell out of it, claiming that their abuse of the timing/attacking system is a "style" of gameplay. See "K,E,D, etc style"

I don't count GunZ as an FPS because the metagame was completely based on swords when I left.

You could play S4 with me again. I'm currently rebuilding my old character since it got totaled.
