So I'm playing MapleStory doing my merry little thing. Everything is going smoothly and there's no trouble at all.
Suddenly, everything and everyone freezes!
I check my internet connection and it's acting as if nothing wrong happened, but no matter what, I end of disconnecting from MapleStory.
What. The. Hell!
Why is this happening -_-; (ISP is Comcast btw)

Spam hacker, bro. They come in, everything freezes, and most of the time you D/C. Has this only happened once?

I don't think it's spam h4x0rz. Unless one of my alliance members is a h4x0r, since I've d/ced in party situations too, such as APQ and CWKPQ. It's been happening for a while.
Also, may I ask how people discovered spam h4x0rz? Because I don't believe I've ever met one.

I was in Scania CH 1 FM 2, and some guy spammed chat like.. Super insanely fucking fast. Screen froze for like 3 mins+ (I afk'd after the first few mins f3), and when I came back, maple was closed.

Definitely not that then. I remember a certain someone in Khaini doing that with regular megas roughly around the time of the PG h4x0r epidemic.
That hack sounds like it's a DDOS for the clients, flooding out all the valid packets which ensure continuity and connectivity for MS.

Umm, Thursday this happened to me. Guy came into map wanting to holy symbol the party i was already holy symboling and made him mad. About three minutes later he came in and me and another party member both reported being frozen for about 1 minute, logging out of maple then having to reopen the client again. This happened about four or five times. However, the third party member never d/ced. My ISP is Comcast as well.
