Well, just for fun, let's do it.

Well for one, Maple has provided me with something to do since MSEA was released. It is helped me learn a little more about computers, not much still, and it introduced me to much of internet culture. It also has got me addicted to the computer and buying NX to enhance my gaming experience. I have met some good friends on Maple Story, one live less than 6 miles from me. The ironic thing is that I met him in JMS. So, all and all, Maple has merely provided me with mindless entertainment, but mostly an incredible amount of wasted time.

I hate Assassins now.

I learned a lot about inference of black box processes (and subsequent simulation, primarily using Excel and Java) and some about opportunity cost vs. optimal solutions in a free market...

It also led to some introspection of what I actually want from a game, resulting in me playing a class I didn't used to like.

I'm 22 and I play Maple Story.

 • Lies and deceit are used at every turn.
 • Lazy bastards are lazy.
 • Intelligence is a rare commodity.
 • Authorities (GM's) don't care.
 • Greed is the primary motivation of a majority of people.
 • Pricks are EVERYWHERE.
 • People enjoy hurting people in anyway possible.
 • Nexon America sucks.
 • Do not listen to what authorities tell you because they don't even listen to themselves (MapleTips).
 • DON'T PLAY FOR MORE THAN FOUR HOURS EVEN THOUGH WE ONLY HAVE FOUR HOUR 2X EXP CARDS!
 • SPEND MONEY AND YOU CAN HANG OUT WITH THE COOL FAGGOTS.

How Has Maple Story Changed Your Life? - Judgment - 2009-03-20

Maple has taught me that it's indeed true that some people can get too attached to a game for their own good. That leads some to do things such as neglecting real-life responsibilities, sucking up to get ahead, backstabbing online/real life friends for the sake of advancement, and other tactics to get ahead at any cost.

Which game do you play? Certainly not this. Almost.
