Ghostly MS paint - Baklava - 2009-03-19

sup.

I open MSPaint, the program doesn't open. No errors or anything as well.
In task manager though, I see there's a ghostly MSPaint.exe running in the processes.
any idea what's doing that.

Have you tried restarting at least?

MS Paint is a systemroot program (just like Notepad and Calculator), so I would be moderately worried about your computer's health.

it's an ongoing problem I've had for about a month or two. restarting does moot.

the computer (laptop by the way) is relatively old, 2002 to be exact, so I guess i'm not worried lol.

I presume that simply terminating the process and trying again doesn't work..

I guess for the time being you could just use a freeware alternative, but there's got to be an underlying cause.

Did you uninstall your Accessories and Utilities in the Windows Component wizard? That could be the issue.
