In-Game Cover Items - Kabanaw - 2009-03-11 I think that every one of you who owns a z-helm knows how ugly it is. It's cool for 5 minutes, then it's annoying. I much prefer the look of a Dark Galaxy on my head, so I got the idea for a new CS item. This item allows you to take one of the items you have in your inventory and make a CS copy of it. You can then use that copy to wear over a different hat. Some requirements are: You must have the item in your inventory You must be able to wear the item. EG, no level 10s running around with varr hats, nor any lukless wearing a lvl 100 robe. However, remember that each equip has a different price... So maybe one for hat, another for overall, etc... In-Game Cover Items - Orit - 2009-03-11 Browsing through the Cash Shop to see what the "Stimulus Package" has to offer, I was struck by the same idea. I found out that I like looking like the warrior that I am, and have no wish to dress up as an angel, skater, or teddy bear. What I don't like are some specific items (the level 40 Nordic Helms with the noseguard that make you look cross-eyed, for example) or having to sacrifice matching outfit for stats (finding a purple str top and a green dex bottom, for example), which I would like to have look like some other warrior equips. It would be very easy to implement, because all the sprites for the equipment have already been drawn, so no graphics work is involved in duplicating all in-game equips as cash-shop covers. I'm not sure about the "must have it in your inventory" rule. I mean, it's not like the 221 NX I'd have to pay in MTS for a clean purple bottom to "cover" my green dex bottom is a lot of money (compared to the 1k+ pricetag on the cover itself), but it's an unnecessary hassle and confusing in your inventory. I would say any item you have in inventory, or could buy from an NPC, or could Make (once we get Maker skill), is fair game. While we don't want people pretending to wear extra-special equips they don't have, anything you could Make is not going to be too misleading. In-Game Cover Items - blitzkrieg - 2009-03-11 I had been thinking of that for awhile too.. I'd love to wear a level 100 pirate hat instead of just a transparent hat all the time, but I don't want to lose the stats from my zakum helm. but yeah, having it in your inventory shouldn't be required. I think the only rule should be that you would be able to equip it with your current stats, level, and job, and that it's a normal class item. Like people wearing Lord Pirate's hat... Would be kinda unfair if they didn't actually pq for it. Or wearing Chief Stan's hat, versalmas/maplemas hats, the anniversary bandanas, etc. In-Game Cover Items - Dusk - 2009-03-11 As far as the transparent hats go, I just wish class helmets had stats even comparable to ZHelms >_> In-Game Cover Items - blitzkrieg - 2009-03-11 Alloy Wrote:Ah, but it adds a bit of challenge to it! I wasn't really including those though lol. by normal class equipment I mean stuff like the level 10, 20, 30 pirate clothes, etc. but if those items were to be included, yeah it would make sense to have a rule to require them in your inventory before masking. In-Game Cover Items - Kabanaw - 2009-03-11 Glad to see other people like this too. Now let's spam the nexon forums with the idea until they accept it :O In-Game Cover Items - ChaosCorpse - 2009-03-11 Kabanaw Wrote:I think that every one of you who owns a z-helm knows how ugly it is. I've had this idea with almost the exact same setup for several months now as well. Only difference was that with my idea it was a permanent change to the item that could still be dropped. Permanent so that you would never need NX again (like hair and face) and alteration of the original item so that one person couldn't trade around one extremely rare item so that all their friends could have an "NX copy" of it. This might actually be enough to get me out of the whole "class equipment only" rut I am in and accept ownership of a zHelm/pink cape/common gloves. But given how stubborn I am, and the way they would design it; if ever; makes me think that too would be a no. |
