There's a good way to verify it. Tell him to MTS the thing for like 1 million NX. Nobody can buy it, but everyone can see it.
Logically, it's only a matter of time until GM scrolls become available for items other than 1h sword.
I can only imagine what a GM scroll for 2h blunt weapon will be worth.
