my acer aspire one, her name is esther. this pic is unfinished - comments on how to improve?

made this over two days that i was sitting in an unfamiliar uni setting under the same light, at the same table (because i was using the touchpad you see in the picture. very slow). now i have no reason to go there for another month or so, thus this picture will not be finished for a long time unless i get some idea of how to continue the shading

the screen is finished (unless you count the contents of the screen, ie the title bar and menu bars haven't been added but i think that is unnecessary. if you see how there is bevelling at the left and right of the keyboard part, the bevel continues all around the bottom too. the keyboard part is a matte kinda sparkly pale cream/beige colour and plays tricks with the light. am trying for a realism thing.

still have the keyboard to draw, i just don't have access to that exact colour/lighting setup. any suggestions on how to finish in absence of a model?

Anyway Ji, Google is your friend to help search for references that look similar to what you're going for. A quick search got me this:

Dunno if that's the kind of lighting you're going for, but searching for "laptop keyboard" got me over 3 million images... I'm sure there's one that you can use for a reference.

unfortunately this is as close as i can get to. i'm looking for a reference where the keyboard part is so brightly lit that it's almost luminescent. this isn't quite there

maybe i'll have to wait til i get to the city again - ah well!
