Ok, I've had enough. I'm used to do stuff and make it bounce in my face, or others', so I can regret it. But this is simply RIDICULOUS lately.

Let's see. I decide to add goggles to avatars for a laugh. Something that is comparable to drawing moustaches on people's pictures. YES. IT'S NOTHING ELSE. I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHERE THE DRAMA CAN APPEAR.

I didn't touch your identity, pride, organs, hairdo, or money. ONLY A BUNCH OF PIXELS REPRESENTING YOU THAT YOU COULD SIMPLY IGNORE. And even if someone changed them to anything else, YOU CAN REDO THEM. How do things get out of control this easily?

I mean. People making drama is ok. Fantastic for series and stuff. Now imagine a TV series about a guy who cries over his lost avatar in an internet forum. And he feels so bad he leaves the comunity. And many people thinking like him leave too.

IT'S AS RIDICULOUS AS THAT. AND GUESS WHO HAS TO FEEL RESPONSIBLE. Well, I do feel responsible for stuff I couldn't even control to begin with.

I'm not dissing the goggles by any chance, though. They only remind me how little control we have with the stuff we have around. And by that, I don't mean a mod changing a bunch of pixels.

You, sir, have created a meme within these forums. It follows the same analogy as a meme on 4chan; if it's random and easy to put on pretty much anything, it'll catch on. It's the internet, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it except watch it spread.

Nothing to feel bad about; I think everybody's had their share of laughs in the past few days. The people who up and left are the faggots who can't handle the outburst of a small forum trend (Which'll probably be over next week). You did a good job; you acted like your plain random self and added some goggles to random images, and it caught on. In fact, if enough Southperriers browsed /v/, this could easily become a meme on 4chan.

Lies. Everything can be measured.

Number of threads made. Number of images goggled. Number of pixels replaced in each image. Number of drama posts. KB of space those posts take up. Etc.

/offtopic

No need to feel responsible. It was all in good fun, or meant to be anyway.

LOL. /v/ hates Maplestory, so you'd be called a f'aggot, underage b&, platypus etc.

It would never fly on /v/.

Yeah, but they're not gonna know where the fuck some weird looking goggles came from.

This is ridiculous beyond measurement. - Mark - 2009-02-28

They'd find out. Believe me.

This is ridiculous beyond measurement. - Greg22 - 2009-02-28

Only way they'd find out is if one of them was secretly a Southperrier; nobody's gonna figure out where a pair of goggles (From monsters that aren't even released in the game) came from, goddamn.

go test it, platypus

Regardless, if you started posting images of things with goggles it won't catch on unless they know the source.

Newf'ag

There's plenty of memes on 4chan that're faggier than Maple anyways. It'd work fosho.

This is ridiculous beyond measurement. - Mark - 2009-02-28

There's a difference between a forced meme and a legit one. Guess which ones are forced.

This is ridiculous beyond measurement. - Greg22 - 2009-02-28

Some of the forced memes are funny... :<
THIS ONE CAN BE FORCED AND STILL PULL IT OFF.

This is ridiculous beyond measurement. - Mark - 2009-02-28

No. Forced meme's are f'aggotry.

This is ridiculous beyond measurement. - Beaner - 2009-02-28

the ones in /b/ are forced

Goggles wouldn't catch on in a place like /v/. Come on, Greg.

This is ridiculous beyond measurement. - Alloy - 2009-02-28

Let's not start this again into a thread about being against it, can we? :p

I'll SHOW ALL OF YOU

However, be careful. They can "attack" Southperry... And we don't want that to happen, do we?

This is ridiculous beyond measurement. - MetaSeraphim - 2009-02-28

The goggles will never truly be famous until there is some rule 34 on them.

My venture was unsuccessful.

Looks like Alloy's creations are /b/ matierial as opposed to /v/.
