Freaking Out and Need Answers - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-02-25

Ok, i had just set my shop up for the night, but wasnt completely afk yet. I come back and my 110 att dark nisrock bow was sold for less than what i put it in for, about 297 mil less!!!! I swear to god and on my freaking soul for what ever it is worth that i had put that bow up for 299,999,999, but it was sold for 2,999,999. I need to know if theres a way to change the price of items in stores, cause i know i didnt put that thing in there for that low of a price, that bow was one of my most treasured items that i would never in a million years sell for less than its worth!

I dont want sympathy, but thanks for any any ways, i just want to try and get my bow back Frown

Freaking Out and Need Answers - MetaSeraphim - 2009-02-25

You mean after you've already set-up the store? If so no, the only way to change the price on something is to close the shop and open it again.

And if the item sold, well, you can't do anything about that.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-02-25

the store was open, i had 5 people go thru the shop before i went afk, and more than one of them i knew were merchants, if i had set the shop up with the bow for 3 mil they would have easily seen that it was a hot item and would have bought it seconds after i made the shop.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - MetaSeraphim - 2009-02-25

Oh, you mean is there a way for someone other than yourself to change the price on your items?

No, I don't think so. Unless there's some type of new hack out there that does so, which I seriously doubt.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Harrisonized - 2009-02-25

The only way to do it is to close and remake.
Honestly, 5 people going through your shop doesn't matter. People go in and out of shops looking for specific items, it's really easy to miss a good deal unless your item was glowing yellow or something. Also, those 5 people possibly might not had been able to afford it.

BTW, did you find out who bought your bow?
Maybe that person will have some sympathy and sell you the bow back.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-02-25

its has to have been a hack, cause i double check my stores before i open them, and all my other items that were higher up in price were priced right.

the person was sitting in the shop when i came back and realised that it had sold for 3 mil rather than 300 mil (also, its purple) i started to say "whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute here" and he left and logged off. i had closed the shop (somewhat stupid since i can get the name 100% now) trying to run after him.

Why run and log off like that if he had bough it legitly i ask....

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Cyanne - 2009-02-25

Well, it's either you priced it incorrectly, or it's a hack. I don't think it's a hack... maybe you just weren't paying attention even after double checking? Sorry for your loss in any case D:

Oooh...I get it. You're trying to cause mass paranoia and panic in an ill attempt to clear out the FM from the scaaaary hackers.

Nice try.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-02-25

im serious, i put it in there for 300 mil, ive been putting it in that high for like the last week now.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Rick - 2009-02-25

The most logical explanation is you did in fact misprice it. But on the very low chance someone has managed to do this (who knows these days) then I don't want to be afraid to set up my store >.> And sorry for your loss =(

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-02-25

to clear up this "mass panic in the FM" idea, any other hack that i have brought light to i have never been affected by them personally. I do not put in the wrong prices of really expensive items like this bow, and especially this bow, since i was needing the money from it to get a new bow, but now that dream is shot to hell and back...

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Harrisonized - 2009-02-25

The person could have run through fear. Usually when people lose such items, they expect the items back or threaten life KS or some kind of drama. Maybe the person ran to prevent this.

Unless you have sufficient evidence that you indeed did price it correctly, it probably wasn't a hack. Please don't try to convince everyone that it was.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - NatureDragon - 2009-02-25

post ss
did u take a screen shot of the item being sold at 3m? no screen shot = lie
any moron would take a screen shot if something like this happened

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Sn1perJohnE - 2009-02-25

who the hell would think "oh boy, ive been scammed/hacked, i must take a screenshot so that the non believers of basil market (read southperry...) will belive that harm has befelled me"

really, if you think i was worried about taking a ss, you shouldnt even post here. i was more worried about stopping the guy before he went and tried selling it in the fm, where i would most likely never get it back.

If he ran the first time, I doubt he'd give it back.

Just saying. And if you don't have solid evidence, then you cannot claim the other person is hacking If you cannot claim the other person is hacking, then you might as well accept the humility of mispricing your item.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Technolink - 2009-02-25

Hypothetically, if there was such a hack to redo store prices, why would he make it 3M instead of 30 mesos?

Freaking Out and Need Answers - ItzTaylor - 2009-02-25

Damn. You put the wrong price. Good luck getting it back, even though it's unlikely.

Freaking Out and Need Answers - Burnup - 2009-02-25

Theres no such hack.

The only logical explanation is that you mispriced it in a hurry.

299999999 looks like 2999999 to me.

but he didn't mispri--

the only realistic method to change the price of an item in a store would be packet editing. if something like this did exist it wouldn't be just happening to you and we would've heard a lot more about it.

you mispriced it.

Guess what? Pics or it didn't happen.
