Spaz's college is hosting an anime convention! - Spaz - 2009-02-16

Stevens Institute of Technology will be hosting its 2nd annual anime convention (called Castle Point Anime Convention, or CPAC). You can look here for information about it.
The convention will take place at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ on Sunday March 29, 2009. Hoboken is right across the Hudson from NYC. Online registration is open right now. You will be able to register in person the day of the con, but it's cheaper if you pre-register.
I will personally be staffing one of the video rooms if you want to come and say hi.
Here's an incomplete list of what the con will have:
- 3 or 4 rooms showing various anime (I'll be staffing one of the rooms)
- Panels, Workshops & special guests (Exactly what panels, workshops, and special guests there will be has not been finalized yet)
- Video gaming, including tournaments
- Card & board gaming, including tournaments
- An AMV showing
- A concert (I believe it will feature MC Frontalot and an 8-bit or NES music artist)
- Cosplay
- Manga library
- Artist's Alley & Dealer's Room where you can buy stuff
- Karaoke
