[MSEA] Mesos glitch! - bio9205 - 2009-02-02
Today, the Valentine's quests started.
Today, everyone started glitching mesos til they got billions of 'em.
Today, MSEA's economy crashed. 10 WA WGs at 100m?!?! Thats twice what it was before.
Today, it was fixed.
The glitch? Create a new char and train it to some level (10 i think, i forgot) and u're awarded 100m. Few hours and u get 1b.
Thank goodness it was fixed...
Asiasoft refuses a rollback...

I can't imagine the overall impact of the economy with that kind of money becoming available almost instantly.
How can they not rollback? MSEA will need many months to recover from this.

hmm.....i thought that the quest only gives some mesos(less than 1m),people just forfeit and re-do the quest again gaining the mesos again and again...........this is how the glitch works rite?
anyway,AsiaSoft DID NOT Refuse a roll-back,there is no reply from AS yet so don't assume it yet!Although i dun think there will be a roll-back since it will be unfair to the people who did not glitch

pls get to the fact and dun simply write..
at mapleSEA, thr a newcomer reward quest for all character whu had reach lvl 10 20 30 40 and 50..
for character tat reach those lvl, they will get certain reward from the maple admin npc..
wad had happen is at lvl 20, ppl can glitch the quest and keep obtain the reward from the npc, which the reward is 200k meso, and 4 different type of potion aka sniper, magic, warrior and 1 more i 4gt..
thr is no such thng that lvl 10 can get 100m..pls...
y asiasoft refuse to rollback?i think those whu knw well hw a company run expecially on9 game company knw the reason..once you rollback, the company will lose income, maybe thousand maybe few hundred thousand..rollback an on9 game make no sense...moreover, if roll back, wad happen to the player whu play legitimatly??every move haf its own consequences...for a server, you cant simply roll back it..is juz soooo wrong in term of profit..

MapleSEA do way more rollbacks than GMS.I can only remember it happening on Scania, and I have never personally been affected by one. When I played MapleSEA they had rollbacks all the time. Maybe things are different now.

EMS had a similar glitch. Get a Warrior to level 20 -> get a free hat -> sell it for 5k -> get another free hat -> repeat. With a bot I heard people were making up to 300m a day with it.

Gee i wonder why. Maybe because they actually care about the state of their game contrary to what everyone else thinks. If something like this hit GMS no doubt they would immediatly fix it with a RB and a public announcement/compensation. The last time they RB'd was some time ago and since it was RB'd a few days before they gave 2x exp for the entire weekend. 48 hours. Granted that was almost a year ago, but nothing RB worthy has happened since then. Sound like something AS is planning on doing though? Probably not. If they haven't done anything already they probably aren't going to.
What i don't understand is why they insist on events that flush money into the economy. What they should be doing in any version is making events that take mesos OUT. Especially in JMS and KMS. Hell, GMS could use it. If we had the kind of meso sinks that JMS has (though on a much smaller scale) and they actually were successful, we can keep our precious NLC pots while potentially lowering the amount of ultimate use in high level maps. That kind of effect would probably mean deletion of 70% of all mesos in the servers though.
Still, it's this push and pull crap that screws themselves over. What they plan on when they make these is that they're giving money to the poor, which allows them to afford pots/buy equips/get by somehow. In the long run of a month though, they end up putting a ton more mesos into the economy, which is very bad. Especially if they screw up like KMS did.

^ It's insanely easy to train without funding until level 70 unless you intend on finding the fastest place to train. The devs shouldn't be adding to the meso supply just because of some "meso difficulty".

You mean "online", I think.
And anyways, the problem is if after a glitch, you don't rollback, people will get the feeling that their glitching will be rewarded and they will find future glitches and will not even hesitate.
It would be ridiculous if mSEA weren't rollback'd within the next 48 hours.
