I know of one other person that has this problem, and we both have Vista...
Anyways, as of this patch, I get a nasty glitch somewhere along the lines of graphics and smooth FPS. It seems to happen randomly, although after 10 minutes or so, the chance of it happening is greatly reduced. Once the glitch happens, the fps drops a little, and the entire game becomes "l4gged", where I try to do something via mouse/keyboard input, I the game does it .2 seconds later. If I don't quit IMMEDIATELY, then MapleStory either crashes, or Toshiba Flash Card stop working (I dunno what that is lol). In either case, fullscreen mode will cause my laptop to freeze, which can only be remedied by hard reset. This happens occasionally in windows mode too.
Any solution to this problem? Or the alternative, any way to make windows mode run with smooth fps? (this has happened in the past for unknown reasons)
Laptop: Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527
Display Adapter: Mobile Intel® 945 Express Chipset Family.
I am not going to take considerations into "do you have enough RAM" because there's nothing I can do about that in any case.

I have a Windows Vista Laptop, same thing occurs, after playing for a bit, or a while, it freezes up my screen, I can't alt-tab or anything, and I hear a strange "ZZZZZ" or "BZZZZ" noise. >_> My laptop has 4 GB RAM.

I'm might have the same problem.
I also own a Toshiba Satelite A215. But this only started showing up since the last server cheeck. At first it was just any traveling around Maple would crash my laptop, but it's reduced to just attacking monsters it would crash my laptop.
There is a period of smooth FPS before entering a map, then when you start encountering monsters within the next 2 mins, FPS gets choppy and ultimately it lags for 2 seconds then my laptop is unaccesible. I tried letting it sit to see what happen (went to make lunch, ate and came back) and it was the samething. The weird thing is that at late at night (around 1-2 AM PST) it runs fine. I was starting to think it was my laptop.
The funny thing was that I was running maple perfectly fine last week.
