Videos lag on my cell phone. - FallenMemory - 2009-01-28

I have a LG Voyager vx10000, and a MicroSD card. I put a video on the card, and it loads up but the video is somewhat laggy and choppy and the subtitles are out of sync with the audio.

I've been using .mp4 as my phone supports that. Any suggestions on how to get it to play smoothly? Thanks in advance.

What resolutions are the videos you're trying to play? You might need to get lower definition videos. Or a better phone.

have you tried playing the videos on your computer? If they are in sync, you need to encode them into the recommended resolution for your phone.

The reccommended format for the phone is .3gp or .mp4. I've been using .mp4. First one I tried was at 713kbps, 320*240 (4/3), at 29.970 fps, MPEG-4 Visual (Simple@L1) with Audio at 163 kbps, 48.0KhZ, 2 channels, AAC (Version 4)(LC).

The second one, was the same but at 713 kbps video and 128 kb audio. Both Lag.

The phone is designed as a media phone so I'm doubting that it's a problem with the actual device. And they play flawlessly on my computer.

something tells me 30fps is too high, try for 15 @ 320 x 240. After converting it, play it on your computer, make sure it is in sync.
