New training area and job selection "help" - Orit - 2009-01-25 When you get to level 10, on the new Maple Island, the Maple Administrator "interviews" you to tell you which job you should select. This is based on your preferences such as solo or party, melee or ranged, etc. It looks like a good and useful system for people who don't know the game yet, but it comes WAY TOO LATE. I mean, the character is level 10 (nvm that they missed the level 8 advancement to Magician), they've got all their AP allocated already. It's a bit too late to tell someone they should be a Bowman when they've been building a Thief all along, or vice versa. You now get a STAT reset at your 1st job adv. New training area and job selection "help" - Orit - 2009-01-25 Then... there is no longer a stat requirement for 1st job advancement? You can build your Beginner with STR and DEX to get through Maple Island easier, and then get it all reset into INT when you talk to Grendel? The auto assign adds into str and dex anyway. New training area and job selection "help" - FinalHeart - 2009-01-25 Sounds cool. I don't want to find out that I need to become an assassin when I have like 500k though. New training area and job selection "help" - DrRusty - 2009-01-25 Woww ap resets are ur first job is awesome. I always hated when I tried to make a mage and I had to do a max of 10 damage for 8 lvls .

The stat requirements are still there, the points are reset into them when you make the advancement. For example, if you wanted to advance to thief, your points would be reset to 4 str, 25 dex, 4 int, and 4 luk. New training area and job selection "help" - Orit - 2009-01-25 Sounds like it makes life much easier. Do you get another AP reset in second job if you're a Thief or Pirate? New training area and job selection "help" - Worthyness - 2009-01-25 I'm sure you get a AP reset for all jobs 0-o But wouldn't this be an excellent opportunity to INT wash? like mass INT for the 1st couple of levels for extra mp, since you get 12 str in the beginning? New training area and job selection "help" - Dusk - 2009-01-25 Worthyness Wrote:I'm sure you get a AP reset for all jobs 0-o Yep. So now it's a choice between levelling fast or being smart and getting some more MP. Sucks for mages, though. New training area and job selection "help" - Worthyness - 2009-01-25 Do they still have all those quests as before? Cause my mules could level just by doing all the quests and get to 10 in a little under an hour 0_o |
