The Grand Explorer and 2900 - NoWaizMatt - 2009-01-23
Matt's New Patch is here! This is probably my biggest expansion ever, and will probably take quite awhile to complete.
Background
It's the year 2800. The world is celebrating it's new century with the introduction of the most amazing creation ever: a giant spaceship that travels through space. It took trillions of mesos from every player in the whole Maple world, but it's been completed. There's enough room for 5,000,000 people to live there, along with a park, pools, and everything you can think of.
The ship is huge. Bigger than the whole continent of Ossyria. People have bought tickets and are ready to call this home. It's not ready to be flown yet, though. Modifications still need to be done. It will surely be a hit when it's done, though.
Fast forward to 2900. People have given their ancestors the tickets. The world has collapsed. It's split into two: the Concordians and the Prodestians. These two groups began conflict not too long ago, and to separate themselves from each other, they called upon the Maple Gods to create a tremor so big is split the world into two halves: Schlagendale, the capital of the Concordians, and Inturodonia, the capital of the Prodestians. There is a third group: the Delofians. The Delofians took residence upon the Grand Explorer, which offers trips around the solar system.
The Concordians believe in a more primitive world, and live above ground without any technology whatsoever. They live in log cabins, and Schlagendale is very similar to old England, where the people travel on horse-drawn buggies. Their leader is King Concord VI. He is the ancestor of the original creator of the Concordians, and continues on their traditions.
In contrast, the Prodestians believe in high technology. In Inturodonia, all the houses are completely automated, and robots run shops, schools, and anything you can imagine. Their leader is Queen Anna IV, ancestor of the wife of the founder of the Prodestians. The Prodestians also have an underwater town, called Sea of Croal.
In the Grand Explorer, all people are welcome, but the Delofians pretty much lead here. They believe in a previous contemporary style: that of the 21st century. There are some robots though, but the place is headed by James John Jones, otherwise known as Triple J.

Exp: 5,250,000
Desc: A guardian in a Renaissance-styled suit of armor.
Attacks: Nothing notable. Same attacks as Royal Guard A, but now has an MP drain.
Note: This form is unbeatable unless you kill Guard A. It spends 100% of the time in an MP drain state, which means you attack it's MP, but not it's HP. All attacks drain MP from the fighters, so he is invincible. Technically, when all his MP runs out, MP drain is disabled and you can attack his HP. The only way to beat him is to have everybody pick up Piercer, which is automatically bestowed into your inventory after killing guard A. With this it cancels the MP eater effect, allowing you to destroy the guard's MP.

HP: 1,050,000,000
MP: 1,000,000,000
Exp: 60,000,000
Desc: The last form of the Shellstun. Has all of the attacks of the previous form, and now has a bloodsucking attack. It will drive it's tentacle into you, and suck out your MP. It converts the MP into an attack. The attack then sucks out your HP for the exact amount of MP that was sucked out. Then, the two numbers that were sucked out are combined and multiplied by 10, and added back to the HP. So, that means, 100,000 HP is possible to be added back.

Major Monster Update!
The Grand Explorer and 2900 - JezzaRules - 2009-02-05
Nice ideas Matt! I found the Royal Guard B's 'MP Eater' ability is unique, reminds me of the 'Damage > MP' support skill from Final Fantasy Tactics advance. I'm surprised no-one has thought of his yet (but it does seem kinda cheap).
Nonetheless, I look forward to more of your ideas.
The Grand Explorer and 2900 - UnknownPower - 2009-02-05
I've enjoyed the ideas I have seen. They may not be full of entire information, but it's creative! I enjoyed all of the monsters, and everything. Story's not bad, either (but for a dedicated anti-reader, it's hard to follow through XD).
Overall, good job! Hope to see more in the future.
The Grand Explorer and 2900 - NoWaizMatt - 2009-02-24
UPdated again.
The Grand Explorer and 2900 - NoWaizMatt - 2009-03-16
I'll probably get a warning for double posting, but it's been awhile since I updated.
The Grand Explorer and 2900 - NoWaizMatt - 2009-04-12
I'm probably gonna get a warning for triple posting, but technically, it's been a month since the last post, so just thought I'd actually update it, even though it's taking forever.
Sorry. In the story, don't you mean descendants instead of ancestors?
The Grand Explorer and 2900 - ZottenKerel - 2010-06-29
nvm long description was too long to read initially.
Oh, one thing, please make better distinction between its and it's. Its being possessive and it's being the short for it has or it is. Other than that nice monster deskriptions, they seem really scary even without a picture.
