Seems the mind behind it all is Burke? . Making Burke into an all evil villain isnt right. His story had more depth than that AFAIK. Or did they change it to a more cliche badie since Jett got its rework?.
If this comes now, Aran and Evan reworks will come by the end of June?

Isn't Burke dead? This is definitely someone from Jett's home planet, though.

Burke wasn't evil, he was just misguided. He wanted the core because he was jealous of its power, and when Jett confronts him for 4th job advancement, Burke pretty much sacrifices himself to help Jett get the core before the Black Wings.

If so, does that mean we wind up having the skill that allows the crossing of barriers? I assume with Zen (a.k.a. Dragon Warrior), that we would be getting the relevant content from MapleSEA and TMS/CMS.
One just has to wonder how much engrish we will be seeing once the patch hits. Either it won't be as bad as first thought, or we could wind up having ourselves laughing like lunatics over the sheer hilarity. Which one won't be known right now, though just need to be patient.
