Well now he's officially our new president. I watched his speech and it was very motivational. It was funny how the (I think) supreme court justice messed up the oath of office.

My he reminds me of Adolf hitler,Great speeches and becoming president in a time of bad economie and telling people to help them to get JOB'S again.
But hitler had the jews and he sayed from start that they where the problem but i didn't notice that obama has a hate to a certain group

And aww I must have missed it. I was in class for the past few hours. I guess that's what my professor meant by watching it on YouTube later. I definitely want to see it.

The guy who was swearing in obama said a few words out of order. That's why obama paused and started smiling at him, waiting for him to correct himself.
And wtp at the hitler thing. How can you compare obama to a military dictator/genocidal maniac. Obama hasn't even been in the military. Plz go somewhere else for that crap.

Well here in New Zealand it started at around 5am so I didn't get to see much. But I started watching for a little bit, and I chuckled when the lady with the crystal bowls invited up everyone then remembered she had forgotten Obama. I missed the actual oath and stuff, I had to have a shower so I don't miss my bus D= It'll probably be repeated tonight though.

I'm pretty sure he messed up a couple times in the beginning of the oath. It wasn't that bad, but it was kind of odd that they were on the "solemn oath" part(or something close to that) when he chuckled. And his oath seems to be a lot shorter than Biden's.
I liked the first two parts of his speech a lot, conjured some nice imagery. Then he droned on for a bit, but he still concluded with some solid lines. There was one I particularly liked, but I can't seem to remember it now though..
And the poem sucked. Maybe I just don't understand poetry, but it sucked.

I agree. I don't even recall there being any lines about Obama, America, the presidency, or anything like that at all.
I also liked the speech. Hopefully he can pull us out of the repression.

He shared with Germany his vision of the world he wanted to build and their rightful place within it. Hitler was a great leader, up to a point. He did what was in Germany’s best interest before his personal motives took over. He started from crap, being a lowlife artist who hated life and turned himself into a tyrant, passing ranks and gaining reputation faster than anyone ever could. Before Hitler came to power, Germany was in turmoil.
It's easy to see why the guy was comparing Obama's goals to Hitler's. Hitler promised the same thing to Germany; more jobs and a restored economy.

The only reason I went to school today was because my district decided it would be a good idea to have every classroom in the damn school stream the inauguration, needless to say that fail miserably. We did get to head the last few minutes over the intercom from the radio. I'm going to go watch it on Youtube after I do my homework.

It was funny. One of the girls in my Geometry class (that was during inauguration) said she was about to "kill herself". I doubt it was boredom, especially considering she supported McCain.
Seriously though, how can this be boring. We're finally free of Bush. We have a president who is extremely intelligent and, although this should be a given, can speak in a matter that is understandable. His speech was phenomenal. The only screwups were by the actual guy doing the oath. If Obama puts as much effort into everything else as he obviously did with this, we'll be well off.
