Earlier today, puush users who have automatic updates turned on may have gotten a strange update. As it turns out, this is malware that has somehow managed to hijack puush' update system to install itself. People don't quite know what the malware does yet, but it's best to be cautious and remove it NOW.
The file in question is called puush.daemon.exe. You have it if you open task manager, press 'show all processes', and find that running in the background.
To remove it manually:
1) Uninstall puush. The developers took down the service as a precautionary measure anyway, you can't do anything with it anymore.
2) End any instances of puush.daemon that you find running in Task Manager. Be sure to use the 'show all processes' option.
3) In order to find the AppData folder that the tweets speak of, type %appdata% into the Start menu search bar, and then go into the Roaming folder that should pop up. After that, go into the Puush folder. You should be able to find the malware sitting there. Assuming you did step 2, you should be able to remove it then. Delete the readme file in there too just to be safe.

Well, everyone is flipping pomegranate over Puush everywhere I've been looking recently. Someone suggested trying out ShareX. I myself am fed up with Puush's slow uploads so I'm using ShareX now.
The ability to automatically upload to Imgur is very nice. I like this tool so far.

Personally switching to sharex now. Seems superior in every way i just never heard about it until this incident. You can turn off all the "intrusive" features that come with its region capture and then it is basically the same appearance wise but with superior functionality

I used to use Gyazo but then someone recommended ShareX, not looking back. I've only used Puush maybe once or twice and it wasn't up to snuff.

I did that for the longest damn time when I played Maple. I think I only used Puush a few times to capture the full Maple window.
