Well they said it was a big patch so I am hoping for more than the attack on titan event.....

An issue with patching from v158.2 to v159:
During internal testing, we discovered an issue with the auto-patcher and the manual patcher that would affect many players on v158.2.0. If you encounter "map.wz is corrupt" error (auto-patcher) or the patching stops on the map.wz file (manual patcher), please do the following:
  1. Download this zip file, which contains corrected versions of v158 .wz files with which are causing the patching issues.
  2. Unzip the file, then overwrite them to the folder where the game is installed. For most players, this folder is C:NexonMapleStory
  3. Launch the client to run the auto-patcher again, or run the manual patcher again.
  • If you still receive this message: "map.wz is corrupt," please re-download the new client.
  • If you see this message: "maplestory.exe not found," MapleStory must be located in a different folder. Please select the correct folder.

Manual Patcher:
The v.159 manual patcher is available for players who currently have v.158 installed.
  1. Download the manual patch by clicking this link: ManualPatcherv159.exe
  2. Double-click on the patcher.
  3. Select the folder where the game is installed. For most players, this folder is C:NexonMapleStory
If you see this message: "maplestory.exe not found," MapleStory must be located in a different folder. Please select the correct folder.


Full Client Installer:
The v.159 full client installer is available below. If you experience issues while using the regular downloader, please click to download the four files listed below. You must save these files to the same folder. Then simply run the MSSetupv159.exe file to install MapleStory normally. If you encounter any problems, please let us know in our Technical Support forums.

Yeah. Still, same order of magnitude. As opposed to the 161MB patch file we were supposed to be able to use.

3.1GB download to fix it. This is why I keep two copies of MS. Thank god my second one patched okay.

The 3Gb download didn't work for me.
Took most of the night to download the zip file. I unzipped it and copied over the 4 wz files, and....
patch still fails at the same place, fffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
The replacement wz files are slightly older than the rest, Dec 16 instead of Dec 17
