wtp 0__o
the first character looks like 'five' in kanji,
the second looks like 'ma' in the hiragana,
third one looks like 'mom' in kanji,
last one looks like 'ki' in katakana.

This doesnt look anything close to 'Chevis.'
:f6:

I lol'ed.

Don't know about jap, but the third one is "mom" in Chinese :f6:

Whoever wrote that clearly either COMPLETELY forgot anything about the language, or is bull shitting you. 'Chevis' should be along the lines of チェビス or チェヴィス. What's written there is just a bunch of gibberish.

You shouldn't use 的 in reference to family members.
Quote:我的妈妈姓高, 叫高LAURA。
Doesn't make sense to me. Your mother's family name tall, is called tall Laura?

Japan Translation? - Vernacular - 2009-05-04

Sorry, I need to explain that.
王老师 gave us Chinese names.
Since my name is Taylor Glover I was given 高天予。
I have no idea why, but we learned 我姓高,我叫高天予。
(names would be different after 姓 and 叫ofc)
So improvising on the fact my mom doesn't have a Chinese it would be 高LAURA。
;3;

Japan Translation? - Jade38 - 2009-05-04

urgh, best to not combine 高with your mum's name.

Coz when u put it in front, it becomes the adjective "tall" hence "tall laura"
tho thats a pretty good chinese name (tian yu) - almost phonetically similar to your english name and it has less strokes XD

Also, 母 and 媽 both refer to mum. First is more formal like Mother (母親Wink, latter is more casual ie mum, mummy (媽媽, 媽咪Wink
