I read about this earlier on Spiceworks. Seems like its true, there was some sort of audit going on with the creator back in January.

um the audit was just an analysis of the software to determine if there were any vulnerabilities or surreptitiously-inserted NSA backdoors.
And speak of the devil, I think it is exactly the NSA who is responsible for the sudden change in the web page.
