It reminds me of those dumb "MALE GAMERS ONLY. YOUR FRIENDS WON'T SEE YOU FOR A WEEK" and "Come play my lord." or "YOU DESERVE AN ORGY" with the half naked women. Does anyone actually fall for these? :f6:

Sometimes I click on them just so I can see how bad the games "advertised" actually are. I'm seeing this League of Angels around a lot recently.

There are some that I've seen around with "18+ Male Gamers Only!" superimposed on images from actual porn, they aren't even trying any more.

Puppet Nightmares is another bad offender, where they have dropped a "LGBT" logo on their adverts, because the game allows you to breed sexy monster girls together (I highly doubt it works male on male)

But yeah, I always find those kinds of things really pathetic. Games shouldn't get sexier than Bayonetta. (and I doubt they ever could)

IIRC for most of them the sexy is only in the ads; sometimes there is absolutely zero fanservice. Even if there really is some though, the in-game graphics are bad enough that you can't see crap anyway.

Yeah, Travian and Evony (oh god Evony) spring to mind. the ads have absolutely no relation to the game itself, which is usually some pomegranatety city-builder sim.

That one is actually quite honest, the game itself is fanservice and proud of it.

Strangely enough, this "League of Angels" is actually quite honest too. You DO collect scantily clad angels, who woulda funk it.

Same here. It got kinda ridiculous. Pay real money to take their underwear off! Like, seriously? That's a marketing gimmick now?

Even the "underwear" starts to skirt a line sometimes. Vindictus gets pretty bad about it, though it honestly could (and almost did) get worse.

He isn't saying that is how it should be, that's how it IS in most MMOs and various media.

There is a reason for the Chainmail Bikini and Thong of Shielding tropes.

It's because of all the people who play female characters in video games so they can stare at their pixelated assets. If the female character was wearing full body armour, you'd be unable to tell they are even female. It's kinda disgusting, and very pathetic, but it's just the way the male dominated gaming culture works, and from the games coming out recently, it seems to be getting worse rather than better, which is weird.
